Can one cozy daily habit actually help protect your bones as you age?

Here’s a fact worth sipping on: A 10-year study found women 65+ who drank tea regularly had higher hip bone density than those who skipped it. That matters because stronger bones = lower fracture risk and better mobility.

Researchers also found that moderate coffee is likely fine, but very high amounts may lower bone density over time. While calcium and vitamin D are still the MVPs, adding a cup of tea to your day could be a small, simple, science-backed win for bone health.

So go ahead — steep the tea, take a breath, and toast to stronger years ahead.

If you’re caring for someone you love, don’t forget to care for you, too. Here are 4 things to keep your body and heart strong in 2026:

- Schedule your own appointments — annual physical, dental, vision, labs. (Put them on the calendar like you would for anyone else!)

- Add micro-breaks — 5 minutes of fresh air, stretching, or silence between tasks can reset your nervous system.

- Fuel your body well — protein first, water always, and one meal a day that’s just for your nourishment, not leftovers.

- Stay emotionally connected — one real conversation a day (phone, text, or in-person) that isn’t about caregiving.

You deserve support, strength, and space to breathe. 💛

"I would have given 100 stars if possible! The entire team here has been amazing! Not only did they help me with my physical injuries, but my emotional injuries. I cannot say enough good things about every person I encountered. I truly love every single person on my team! Thank you all, not only me but my family and friends as well."

“The simple act of caring is heroic.” — Edward Albert

Caregivers may not wear capes, but every act of kindness, patience, and support is heroic in its own way. Thank you for all you do.

Still thinking about your New Year’s resolutions? Here’s one that matters: Give yourself grace.

Caregiving is a marathon, not a sprint. Celebrate small wins, ask for help when you need it, and make time for rest — your well-being matters too.
