If you’re like me and have struggled to grow your hair or deal with constant shedding, I know how frustrating it can be. After trying so many things, I finally found a few supplements and gadgets that actually made a difference for me.

One thing I added to my routine is curcumin, the active compound in turmeric, which is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits that help support a healthier scalp environment for growth.

Combining the right supplements with tools that stimulate the scalp has really helped my hair grow longer and stronger.

Let’s talk powders. Sharing some of my favorite supplements for hydration, gut support, digestion, and recovery that I keep in my routine, and why they’ve become staples for me.

Small additions like these can go a long way in filling in some of the gaps and adding extra support to your day to day routine.

We all know fermented foods are great for gut health, but did you know that pickles in a cloudy brine are actually fermented? 🥒

One of my favorite little gut-health hacks: save some of the pickle juice (that cloudy brine is full of beneficial bacteria!)

When you have leftover veggies, or veggies that are about to go bad, just toss them into the jar. I love adding a little garlic too. Then pack the pickles back on top and let the brine work its magic.

A few days later you’ve got yourself the easiest fermented snack packed with flavor and probiotics.

While everyone’s taking olive oil shots, I’m getting way more bang for my buck with black cumin seed oil.

Used for centuries across the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia, black cumin seed has long been valued in traditional wellness practices—often used in daily tonics, herbal remedies, and culinary traditions. Long before it became a trend, it was a staple in households for overall wellness.

I can’t get enough of these grain-free sweet potato tacos 🌮

Sweet potato pressed in a tortilla press, then baked at 350° until crispy.

Fill with:
• Grass-fed ground beef
• Cheese
• Green salsa
• Scallions
• Red onion
• Tomatoes
• Fresh cilantro

Protein, fiber, and healthy carbs all in one simple meal your gut will love

Not all fiber works the same.

Some types slow digestion and help keep blood sugar steady. Others feed gut bacteria, support hormones, and improve regularity. Most people are low in both, which is why “just eat more fiber” doesn’t always fix things.

That’s where targeted supplementation can help. Flaxseed, psyllium husk, and acacia powder can fill the gaps when food alone isn’t enough and support digestion, cholesterol, and metabolic health.

Wellness trends are having a moment.
Some are helpful, some are overhyped, and most depend on how you actually use them.

I don’t hate trends, I just care about context, timing, and knowing who something is really for.

A reminder that more isn’t always I don’t better, and viral doesn’t always mean effective 🤍

In my experience, it’s not the big things that make the difference. It’s the small habits you repeat every day.✨

This is my go to high protein coffee smoothie for stable energy. The key is pairing natural sugars with enough protein and fat to slow digestion and keep blood sugar steady.

I use this when I want something quick that still supports energy focus and hormones without the crash. It’s SO delicious!

Comment “smoothie” for the full recipe 🤎 and code for Reishi mushroom coffee that won’t cause jitters!

Your hormones tell a story.

How you feel. How you sleep. How you handle stress. How your body responds over time. Women’s hormones change daily, unlike men.

The DUTCH test looks at hormone patterns not just single numbers. It helps understand cortisol rhythm, estrogen and progesterone balance and how your body is actually metabolizing hormones.

This is one of the tools I use to move beyond surface level labs and get to root causes especially when symptoms don’t match “normal” results.

If you’ve felt off and suspect hormones, but can’t - this is where we look next.

Eating out doesn’t have to mean energy crashes bloating or blood sugar chaos. A few small shifts in how you order can make a big difference.

Here’s how I approach it:
• Skip the bread basket
• Start with fiber bitter greens crudité or a warm veggie appetizer
• Order enough vegetables to balance your protein
• Choose protein I don’t cook often at home fish or a quality farm listed steak
• Share one dessert for the table
• Time drinks with food, spicy mezcalita with no sugar, then wine with the meal
• Take a short walk after dinner to help bring blood sugar down
This isn’t about restriction. It’s about structure so you can enjoy the meal and feel good after.

Save this for the next time you eat out 🤍
