Congratulations to Satinder K. Sandhu, MD, who was an honoree at the United Nations Day Scholarship & Awards Luncheon for the Broward County Chapter.

This year’s theme, “Our Planet, Our Future," focused on highlighting individuals who are making a positive impact on climate change, refugees, and social justice.

Dr. Sandhu is the director of the Miami Adult Congenital Heart Center (MACH) and Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Holtz Children's Hospital.

“It is my opinion that quality health care for congenital heart disease should be the birthright of every child and the human right of every parent across the world,” said Dr. Sandhu.
