Dr Carlos E. Diaz graduated from the University of Puerto Rico Medical School in 1985. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Miami Children Hospital in 1988, and served as Chief Pediatric Resident in 1989.He then completed a fellowship training in Pediatric Pulmonology at St. Christopher Hospital for Children in Philadelphia in 1992, where he was also a Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics for Temple Medical School. He became a staff member of the Miami Children Hospital Pulmonology Division from 1992 until 2007 and was director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center for 10 years (1996-2006). He is currently in his private practice since 2007 in the Kendall area, offering more than 30 years of board certified experience in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine. Dr Diaz is affiliated with Nicklaus Children Hospital, Baptist Hospital, and Kendall Regional Hospital of Miami .Dr Diaz has lectured extensively in the field of Pediatric Pulmonology and has authored several scientific papers in peer reviewed journals; and has been cited in medical textbooks as well. He offers his knowledge and experience in serving children with a variety of pulmonary or breathing problems in the greater Miami area.
