I need everyone’s help with spreading awareness on this.

I talk about speaking up so much because of everything I saw while working here.

This was over a year ago that I left and to find out that the patients and nurses with are still dealing with the same thing but now on a much more dangerous scale is disheartening.

My license and those of my colleagues were consistently put at risk.

But the main take away here is that these moms are being put at risk of dying for no reason on their part.

They go here for help and don’t know what they’re walking into and it’s not okay!

Please help y’all, this is a facility that see’s hundreds of moms a month and has multiple locations in south Florida. Tag whoever you need to, repost, please 💫

The status of Your mental health will continue to present itself in your physical self until you pay attention to it.

Whether it’s physical ailments both pre-pregnancy during the pregnancy or after, burnout, or even a mental breakdown.

Infertility?

Having difficulties finding work life balance?

High blood pressure and diabetes both chronic and gestational?

The mental and physical are connected. Part of being a Holistic provider means I have to make you aware that there is a connection there whether you want to believe me or not.

Simply taking medication‘s to mask everything is not enough you have to get to the root of it.

Sometimes it’s your lifestyle, sometimes it’s physical activity, what you’re eating, your relationship with your partner, your relationship with your children, The lack of a relationship with yourself, work stress…

The infamous VBAC. The root of this is at the current state of America and it’s leniency with handing out csections like they’re candy.

In 2020, the United States had a C-Section rate of 31.8% 😳

On top of that guess which race accounts for majority, yes you guessed correctly, our melanated mamas.

I can keep going: Maternal death rates from complications of pregnancy and delivery are highest for Melanin moms as well compared to our counterparts.

A study was done in 2019 and determined that 98.4% of all births were done in a hospital setting, leaving the other 1.6% to home births and birthing centers.

Now because majority of births are done in a hospital setting it is clear why the C-section rate is so high. It doesn’t have to be.

Our system is failing these moms from a lack of education during the pregnancy. We aren’t preparing these moms for what they are about to face and it’s sad.

This is why you guys can’t leave it up to your providers to carry out your birth plans and give you the experience you want, it’s up to you and your support system.
