✨ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service ✨
Volunteers came together to honor Dr. King’s legacy through action and service along MLK Boulevard. Sponsored by the City of Miami and hosted by Chairwoman Christine King, Community Services Department, Greater Miami Service Corps in partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated – Gamma Zeta Omega Chapter, Top Ladies of Distinction, Miami Chapter, and Citizens for a Better South Florida, the day focused on painting benches, removing litter and debris, and restoring the MLK Marquee. Citizens for a Better South Florida provided environmental education and attendees received plants to support improving the county's tree canopy.

This Saturday, January 17, 2026, Greater Miami Service Corps invites you to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by serving our community.

Volunteers will come together to beautify the boulevard named in Dr. King’s honor, helping restore, clean, and uplift this historic corridor that carries his name and spirit.
