🏛️ Championing Community Health: Care Resource Joins FACHC in Tallahassee 🤝

Care Resource leadership was in Tallahassee this week advocating for better healthcare access for South Florida. Our CEO Karin Sabey and Chief Social Services Officer Rafael Jimenez joined the Florida Association of Community Health Centers (FACHC) State Fly-In to meet with legislators.

Key priorities included:
✅ Improving reimbursement rates so that community health centers can pay for the rising costs of delivering quality healthcare
✅ Advocating to protect the 340B program to expand access to affordable, life-saving medication

Community Health Centers are a lifeline for millions of Floridians. We encourage you to let your legislators know you support access to care for all - at Care Resource and across Florida.

National Handwashing Awareness Week reminds us that washing your hands is one of the easiest ways to prevent illness like colds, flu, and stomach bugs.

Today, our health center gathered with community leaders and advocates to reflect, remember, and recommit to ending the HIV epidemic.

Our program highlighted:
✅ A State of HIV Update, sharing progress in prevention, treatment, and research.
✅ A World AIDS Day Proclamation from the City of Miami Beach, reaffirming our shared commitment to community health.
✅ Recognition of outstanding contributions that strengthen access to HIV prevention, testing, and care across South Florida.

On this World AIDS Day, we celebrate resilience, innovation, and the power of partnership. Together, we can build a future where every person affected by HIV has access to compassionate, life-affirming care.
