💚👟✨ Want to make a real difference in your community? Join us as a volunteer for the 2026 NAMI Miami-Dade Walk for Mental Health Awareness!

We’re looking for passionate, reliable volunteers to help bring Walk Day to life—from setup and logistics to cheering on walkers and supporting activities at loanDepot Park on Saturday, May 16th. Volunteering is a meaningful way to give back, connect with others, and be part of a community-wide movement for mental health awareness. Student volunteers may also be eligible to earn community service hours while making an impact.

Whether it’s your first time or you’ve supported us before, every helping hand makes a difference.

💙✨ Meet the people behind our support groups

At NAMI Miami-Dade, our support groups are led by facilitators who help create spaces rooted in trust, understanding, and shared experience—where people can show up exactly as they are.

Today, we’re highlighting Israel Luna, a facilitator who helps lead our weekly Wednesday and Saturday groups and our monthly in-person meetings.

For Israel, being a facilitator is about more than leading conversations—it’s about holding space where people feel safe enough to open up, be themselves, and know they’re not alone in what they’re going through. It’s also a meaningful reminder in his own journey of the power of connection and community support.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll continue introducing more of the incredible facilitators who help make this work possible—so stay tuned to meet more of the people behind the support. ✨💙
