💙✨ Reel Minds 2025 was an unforgettable celebration of mental health storytelling!
This year’s festival brought together storytellers, advocates, community partners, and attendees for a weekend full of films, panels, and conversations that reminded us just how powerful art can be in transforming the way we think about mental health.
With over 200 attendees, 10 featured films, three panels, and countless moments of connection, Reel Minds 2025 was a celebration of courage, creativity, and community—a true reflection of what happens when art meets advocacy. From the laughter and applause to the heartfelt conversations that followed each screening, every moment reminded us why this festival matters. When we share our experiences, we break stigma, foster empathy, and create understanding.
We want to extend our deepest thanks to our incredible panelists — Keshad Johnson, Cat Marcell, Lexi Rivero, Rafal Sokolowski, Tiffinie Bratcher, Liz Bocanegra, Susan Racher, Matthew Racher, Dr. Edward Suarez, Adam Stolz, and Kristy Figueras — whose honesty, vulnerability, and insight sparked meaningful dialogue throughout the weekend. Their stories opened hearts, inspired reflection, and helped our community see mental health through a more human lens.
A special congratulations goes to the Chrysalis Award winner, “Komoru Panda, a hikikomori story,” and a huge thank you to our jurors — Rafal Sokolowski, Ashley Kolaya, Mädchen Amick, Suman Ghosh, and Cathyana Marcel — whose thoughtful deliberation helped select this year’s winner.
And to our community partners and attendees — thank you for attending, for listening, for sharing your space, and for helping us continue to build a culture of openness and compassion. Your presence made the festival come alive.
We can’t wait for Reel Minds 2026! ✨💙
