Yesterday, the Therapeutic Recreation and Inclusion Division joined Officers Boo-Moreno, Officer C. Gonzalez, Officer V. Gonzalez, Officer S. Mendoza and our city’s very own K9 Claudine at The Sandra DeLucca Developmental Center to give 5 Families a Turkey for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Miami Police Department

These were donated by The Community Police Relations Foundation (CPRF). We were also joined by the Miami Police Explorers who were there to lend a helping hand as well.

We are very Thankful to Officer S. Mendoza and Officer V. Gonzalez for their collaboration and efforts in making this special giveaway a reality for deserving families!

Happy Tuesday! 🎉

This past weekend we competed in the Fall state special Olympics competition ESPN Wide World of Sports in softball and gymnastics!

Our softball team got 3rd place and our gymnast got 1, 2 and 3 place finishes! 🏆

We are very proud of our athletes and coaches! 💚

Thank You for Making World Inclusion Day a Success! City of Miami Parks and Recreation

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the parks that participated in making World Inclusion Day on Friday, October 10, 2025, such an incredible and meaningful experience.
The dedication and effort each site put into this event were evident across the board. Participants were fully engaged in the activities, and it was clear they gained a deeper understanding of what inclusion truly means.

Each location embraced the theme in its own unique way, beautifully reflecting the core message:
“We are more alike than we are different.”
