We’re excited to introduce Lissy, one of our wonderful Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) at Children In Motion! ✨

Lissy is bilingual and brings a warm, supportive energy to every session, helping children build their communication skills in both English and Spanish. She loves creating fun, engaging activities that help children grow their confidence while developing their speech and language abilities.

In addition to supporting our patients each day, Lissy is currently continuing her education to become a Speech-Language Pathologist, showing her dedication to learning, growing, and providing the best possible care for the children and families we serve.

We are so proud to have her as part of the Children In Motion family and can’t wait to watch her continue to grow in the field! 💬🌟

Stephanie is one of our amazing Certified Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologists here at Children In Motion! Born and raised in Miami, she has always been passionate about helping children learn, grow, and succeed. ✨

At Children In Motion, Stephanie is passionate about helping children find their voices and grow in confidence through individualized, engaging speech and language therapy. She works with infants, preschoolers, and school-aged children experiencing receptive and expressive language delays, articulation disorders, pragmatic delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and more. With a warm, supportive approach, Stephanie partners closely with families, teachers, and other professionals to create a collaborative team around each child. Her goal is to make therapy both meaningful and fun while helping every child build the communication skills they need to thrive. 💬💙

🧠 Think it. Plan it. Do it!

We’re excited to introduce the third summer camp of the season Think, Plan & Do! This camp is designed to help children strengthen the executive functioning skills they need to succeed at school and in everyday life.

Through hands-on activities, games, and movement-based learning, campers will practice important skills like planning, organization, problem-solving, and flexible thinking in a fun and supportive environment. Our therapists guide children through engaging activities that encourage them to think through challenges, stay organized, and complete tasks with confidence.

Campers will work on skills such as:
✔️ Self-regulation and impulse control
✔️ Planning and organization
✔️ Attention and focus
✔️ Following multi-step directions
✔️ Time management and working memory

We’re excited to welcome Gabriella Fernandez, OTR/L, to the Children In Motion team!

Gaby brings five years of pediatric experience working with children in school, clinic, and home settings. Her areas of focus include sensory processing, reflex integration, and handwriting development, helping children build the foundational skills they need to feel confident and successful in their daily activities. From strengthening fine motor skills and coordination to supporting play skills, independence, and self-regulation, Gaby is passionate about helping children reach their developmental goals through fun, engaging, and individualized therapy.

Her warm, playful approach helps create a supportive environment where children feel comfortable, motivated, and excited to learn and grow, while celebrating each child’s unique strengths.

We’re so happy to have Gaby as part of the Children In Motion family and can’t wait for her to begin working with our amazing kids! ✨

✨ Announcing our second summer camp of the season: Read, Write & Shine! ✨

This summer, give your child the opportunity to grow into a more confident reader and writer in a fun, supportive environment. Read, Write & Shine is designed to strengthen reading and writing skills while helping children build confidence for the upcoming school year.

Through hands-on, engaging activities led by our pediatric therapists, campers will practice phonics, decoding new words, reading fluency, reading comprehension strategies, and recognizing high-frequency sight words. They will also work on foundational writing skills such as pre-writing, sentence building, letter and number formation, spacing, and organization.

Our small group setting allows children to receive individualized support while building confidence, improving focus, and developing strong learning habits in a fun and encouraging environment.

☀️ Move, Play & Say Summer Camp registration is now open! ☀️

Join us at Children In Motion & Associates for a fun-filled summer designed to help little ones move, play, learn, and grow! Our Move, Play & Say Summer Camp is one of 3 camps we will be offering this summer. It’s intended for ages 3–6, combining play-based activities with the expertise of our pediatric occupational and speech therapists to support development and optimal school readiness.

🌟 Milestone Monday 🌟

Upside down & loving it! 🙃💪

This little guy is working hard on core strength, balance, and body awareness while having SO much fun on the therapy ball! Sitting and moving on a therapy ball challenges the trunk muscles, improves postural control, and supports coordination needed for everyday skills like sitting at a desk, handwriting, and self-care tasks.

When therapy feels like play, progress happens naturally 💙

✨ Milestone Monday ✨

Today we’re celebrating big wins with little letters, especially those tricky b’s and d’s! ✏️💙

Reversals are common as children learn to read and write, but with the right support, practice, and playful strategies, we help our patients strengthen visual discrimination, directionality, and handwriting skills to build confidence in the classroom. 📚✨

Through multisensory activities, movement-based learning, and repetition that feels like play, our kiddos are learning how to tell the difference between b and d.

It’s more than just letters, it’s building the foundation for strong reading, writing, and self-esteem. And that’s something worth celebrating! 🎉

Our Speech & Occupational Therapy screenings help identify areas where your child may need extra support; whether it’s articulation, language development, fine motor skills, handwriting, attention, or sensory processing.

Screenings can be conducted at select schools
or our Children In Motion office located in Coral Gables.

These brief screenings allow our therapists to observe skills, answer your questions, and determine if a full evaluation would be beneficial. Early identification = early intervention = stronger outcomes!
