The Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine continues to earn national and international acclaim in clinical care, research, and education in the field of dermatology. We continue to rank among the largest and best residency programs in the United States and the largest and best full-time faculty of 23 and a very active and unique part-time paid voluntary faculty program as well as voluntary faculty. A busy Saturday with our Chair, Dr. Kirsner! 👏

From clinic to the community, the day was full of collaboration and patient care. Dr. Kirsner spent the morning in clinic with Dr. Lin, followed by hospital rounds with Dr. Penna and our international fellow. The day wrapped up at a community health fair alongside Dr. Ju, continuing our department’s commitment to service beyond the clinic walls.

Our team is always working to care for patients, train the next generation, and support our community. 💙

Dr. Morrisons Melanoma Awareness Event 🙌🏻✨

Our Department of Dermatology partnered with Vanity Projects Miami for a nail melanoma awareness campaign where talented nail artists recreated concerning signs of nail melanoma through art.

At the same time, our students and faculty spoke with participants about acral melanoma, warning signs to look for, and the importance of early detection.
