Dr. Bernabe Vazquez is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with more than three decades of experience helping patients achieve a look they love SAFELY.
Dr. Vazquez has been in practice consistently since 1988, where he’s performed thousands of plastic surgery procedures on nearly every part of the human body. Dr. Vazquez has been active in the Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons as well as the Florida Society of Plastic Surgery. He has been past president of the Miami Society and, for many years, the Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Mercy Hospital. Dr. Vazquez is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, as well as a member of the American College of Surgeons, three of the most respected organizations in medicine.
In 1995, Dr. Vazquez decided to limit his practice to elective cosmetic surgery and his reputation in that subspecialty was firmly established. Dr. Vazquez has always insisted on using Board Certified M.D. anesthesiologists in his office and safety has always been a priority. As a result, he has an impeccable record in both the satisfaction as well as the safety of his patients. The doctor is fully trained in all aspects of cosmetic surgery, has been licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida since 1982, and has active staff privileges at Mercy Hospital and the University of Miami Medical Hospital.
A long time resident of Miami, Dr. Vazquez graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in Chemistry and attended Medical School at UAG in Mexico. He then completed a five year general surgery residency before finishing his plastic surgery residency at the Medical College of Georgia. This was followed by fellowships in Cosmetic Surgery in Miami and Rio de Janeiro, where he had the chance to learn from and practice with some of the world’s most talented and renowned plastic surgeons.
