In his 30+ years practicing medicine, Dr. Vazquez has safely performed thousands of procedures with amazing results. Dr. Vazquez began his practice in Miami on February 1, 1988, with a mixture of reconstructive and cosmetic surgery patients. His practice gradually developed from the patients he saw in the emergency rooms of multiple Miami area hospitals. Referrals from other doctors at these hospitals also steadily increased as his reputation as a dedicated and highly gifted surgeon grew. Eventually these patients requested elective cosmetic surgery and because his office has always been equipped with a fully accredited operating room, he was able to perform the majority of these procedures there, safely and competitively. In 1995, Dr. Vazquez decided to limit his practice to elective cosmetic surgery and his reputation in that subspecialty was firmly established. Dr. Vazquez has always insisted on using Board Certified M.D. anesthesiologists in his office and safety has always been a priority. As a result, he has an impeccable record in both the satisfaction as well as the safety of his patients. Throughout this time, Dr. Vazquez has been active in the Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons as well as the Florida Society of Plastic Surgery. He has been past president of the Miami Society and, for many years, the Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Mercy Hospital. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American College of Surgeons as well as the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, two of the most respected organizations in medicine. Dr. Vazquez has operated on countless celebrities and has appeared on numerous radio and television programs educating the public on the importance of seeking properly trained and certified plastic surgeons. He is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida since 1982 and has active staff privileges at Mercy Hospital, Coral Gables Hospital and University Hospital.

Dr. Vazquez has been in practice consistently since 1988, where he’s performed thousands of plastic surgery procedures on nearly every part of the human body. Dr. Vazquez has been active in the Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons as well as the Florida Society of Plastic Surgery. He has been past president of the Miami Society and, for many years, the Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Mercy Hospital. Dr. Vazquez is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, as well as a member of the American College of Surgeons, three of the most respected organizations in medicine.

A long time resident of Miami, Dr. Vazquez graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in Chemistry and attended Medical School at UAG in Mexico. He then completed a five year general surgery residency before finishing his plastic surgery residency at the Medical College of Georgia. This was followed by fellowships in Cosmetic Surgery in Miami and Rio de Janeiro, where he had the chance to learn from and practice with some of the world’s most talented and renowned plastic surgeons.
Dr. Vazquez’s approach to treating patients is more comprehensive than traditional plastic surgery. His philosophy is that plastic surgery is an art form, based on scientific principles and safety above all else.
