Sometimes, what someone needs most is guidance, presence, and a reminder that they’re not alone. 💙

We had the honor of connecting with Mr. Cloyd Holmes, founder of Men’s Up Ministry, whose work is rooted in walking alongside individuals returning to the community after incarceration. Through Bible studies and spiritual mentorship, he creates space for reflection, healing, and a renewed sense of direction.

His passion for this work comes from a genuine desire to reach people in the moments that matter most, when they’re searching for purpose, rebuilding their lives, and learning to move forward with faith.

Hearing his heart for bringing this ministry to Riverside House was powerful. It’s a reminder that transformation often begins with someone willing to show up, pour into others, and believe in what’s possible. 🙏

Some wounds feel too heavy to carry, too deep to heal, but even the most broken places can be made new. 🙏

At Riverside House, we see that restoration unfold every day in lives being rebuilt with faith, support, and the courage to begin again.

Your generosity helps make that possible. đź’™

We recently connected with Founder Kyle Sanders as he shared the vision behind 700 Reentry…a creative and coworking space in Dania Beach designed to support returning citizens as they rebuild their lives.

Built by individuals who have lived the reentry experience themselves, their work reflects a deep understanding of the challenges and the kind of support that truly makes a difference.

It’s always powerful to see what happens when experience, vision, and second chances come together to create something meaningful for others.🙏

Riverside House had the opportunity to welcome Y G Institute Founder, Mrs. Yradia Guanipa, along with interns Nathalie Morlote and Nayeli Perez, for an informative session focused on recognizing signs of skin cancer, choking, strokes, and other important health topics.

Beyond the education, Mrs. Guanipa shared her personal journey, speaking openly about her experience with incarceration and the fear that often follows reentry. She reflected on the weight of not wanting to make a mistake and the emotional impact it had on her and her family.

Her honesty created a moment of connection and understanding, reminding everyone in the room that healing involves both knowledge and lived experience.

We’re grateful for conversations like these that inform, empower, and remind us we’re not alone. 💙

Riverside House had the honor of joining Church By The Sea as they celebrated their first Sunday in their new church home, marking a meaningful milestone for a community that has been a long-standing partner and generous supporter of our mission over the years.

During the service, Mr. Bell was invited to lead the offertory, a sacred moment of giving and reflection, and to share a brief story of transformation, highlighting the journey of a former resident and the role that faith and spirituality played in their success. It was a powerful reminder of how lives can change when people are met with both support and purpose.

As Pastor Asinger of Church By the Sea shared, “We are ever grateful for the work that you do and the way that you have blessed the community.”

We are deeply thankful for partners like Church By the Sea, whose continued faith, generosity, and commitment help make this work possible every day. 🙏💙

Sometimes, what makes the biggest difference is simply being there. Showing up with intention, with care, and with a willingness to walk alongside someone can change the direction of their journey in ways we may never fully see.

At Riverside House, that presence is part of everything we do, creating space for people to move forward with support, dignity, and hope. đź’™

At Riverside House, we provide hands-on support to help participants navigate everyday tasks, whether it’s obtaining identification, completing important documents, coordinating transportation, or making it to appointments.

By removing these barriers, we create space for progress, helping each person move forward with greater confidence and a clearer path toward independence. đź’™

For over 50 years, Riverside House has been walking alongside men and women returning from incarceration, providing not just housing, but the support needed to truly move forward.

With stability comes the opportunity to rebuild, through guidance, life skills, employment preparation, and spiritual growth. It’s where people begin to regain their footing, reconnect with purpose, and step into what’s next with confidence.

Because having a safe place to land can change everything.đź’™

There’s a kind of love that doesn’t walk away. 🙏

A love that stays through the hard moments, the uncertainty, and the rebuilding. The kind of love that reminds someone they’re not alone, even when life feels at its lowest.

At Riverside House, we strive to reflect that same presence, walking alongside men and women as they begin again, offering support, guidance, and a place to move forward.

Your generosity helps make that possible.

On this Good Friday, we reflect on the depth of God’s love shown through sacrifice and the hope that was born in a moment that once felt like loss. ✝️

It is a day that reminds us that even in the darkest moments, God is still at work, bringing redemption, healing, and the promise of new life.

That same hope continues to unfold every day at Riverside House, in lives being restored, faith being renewed, and new beginnings taking shape. 🙏

Our Mission & Vision

Mission: Riverside House exists to guide men and women convicted of crime into becoming productive citizens through a non-denominational, faith-based approach.

Vision: That all individuals, whether imprisoned in mind or spirit, will lead positive and productive lives when given the opportunity to succeed. Riverside House seeks to change the lives of at-risk individuals (regardless of gender or culture) through community and residential programs that emphasize personal accountability, family relationships, and spiritual growth.

We envision a future where the formerly incarcerated are good citizens and neighbors – productive, educated, with strong family and spiritual values, playing an equal role in contributing to a safe and vibrant community.
