A new month is a fresh opportunity to lead with generosity.
When we choose to give, we choose to believe that hope can be multiplied, lives can be restored, and compassion can go further than we imagine.

Start this month by sowing into something that changes lives. ๐Ÿ’™

Our volunteers come from all walks of life, but they share one powerful thing in common: a heart for service.

From pastors and church leaders to Riverside House graduates, local business owners, youth groups, school groups, and community members, each person brings their time, compassion, and faith to help others move forward.

Together, they show up, lift up, and help make second chances possible every day. ๐Ÿ™

Real change happens through community. ๐Ÿ’™

At Riverside House, our mission is strengthened by partnerships rooted in faith, service, and shared purpose. Through faith-based organizations, community agencies, and correctional institutions, we walk alongside individuals before, during, and after reentry.

Together, we create a network of care that restores hope and supports new beginnings. ๐Ÿ™

Every year, 1,500โ€“2,000 individuals are released from prison into Miami-Dade County. At Riverside House, we believe everyone deserves a second chance, whether theyโ€™ve been through our Residential Reentry Program or not.

Our Non-Residential Support Program is designed to grow our services to guide 2,000 people annually towards a productive, fulfilling life. With a three-part plan and holistic support, weโ€™re here to make reentry a success for all.

Life changes are hard, but everyone deserves guidance on the path to a brighter future. ๐Ÿ’™

Today, we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by reflecting on the call he placed before all of us, a call to serve, to uplift, and to care for one another.

At Riverside House, this question lives at the heart of our work. It shows up in acts of compassion, in standing beside those rebuilding their lives, and in choosing service over indifference. Real change doesnโ€™t begin with words alone, but with action rooted in love and justice.

On this MLK Day, may we be reminded that serving others is how we move our communities and our world forward.๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’™

Every open hand creates space for dignity to be restored, trust to be rebuilt, and lives to move forward with purpose. We see it every day in small moments of care, consistency, and compassion that quietly change everything.

This message reflects what service looks like here, love in action, faith at work, and hope returning where it was once lost. ๐Ÿ™

At Riverside House, service is more than an action, itโ€™s how healing begins. ๐Ÿ’™

This is a reminder for anyone whoโ€™s felt unseen, unworthy, or afraid to be known.
There is a love that reaches deeper than our fear, and a grace that meets us exactly where we are. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™

Attending a Celebrate Recovery Meeting offers a supportive environment where you don't have to face your struggles alone. ๐Ÿ’™

Celebrate Recovery is for everyone, providing a grace-filled community where individuals courageously confront their pain and the negative perceptions they may have about themselves, God, and others. This biblically based approach fosters long-lasting recovery by healing your hurts, guiding you towards new, healthy truths, and helping you develop life-giving habits. ๐ŸŒŸ

Every day at Riverside House, we witness what happens when grace meets a willing heart. Lives are restored, hope is renewed, and people discover that their past does not have the final word.

This message reflects what we see unfolding here every day, quiet transformations, courageous steps forward, and the beauty of new beginnings. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™

Our volunteers are the heart of Riverside House. ๐Ÿ’™

They come from all walks of life, pastors, church leaders, business owners, youth and school groups, graduates of our program, and everyday community members with a shared desire to give hope and support second chances.

And thereโ€™s no โ€œrightโ€ amount of time to give.
Some serve weekly.
Some come for special events.
Some give a few hours once a month or even just once.

Every moment matters. Every act of kindness counts.

If youโ€™ve ever felt the pull to make a difference, thereโ€™s a place for you here. ๐Ÿ™

Our Mission & Vision

Mission: Riverside House exists to guide men and women convicted of crime into becoming productive citizens through a non-denominational, faith-based approach.

Vision: That all individuals, whether imprisoned in mind or spirit, will lead positive and productive lives when given the opportunity to succeed. Riverside House seeks to change the lives of at-risk individuals (regardless of gender or culture) through community and residential programs that emphasize personal accountability, family relationships, and spiritual growth.

We envision a future where the formerly incarcerated are good citizens and neighbors โ€“ productive, educated, with strong family and spiritual values, playing an equal role in contributing to a safe and vibrant community.
