Funyasa Yoga is an offshoot of the beloved Dharma Studio, which was a lovely yoga shala founded in the heart of Coconut Grove in 2009. After Covid, we had to close our boutique brick & mortar on Commodore Plaza, and we transformed to a virtual studio... and we kept it going for a few years... and here we are: still ALIVE! please message us if you have questions about our virtual class schedule, or if you'd like private classes in the Miami area.

As usual, it’ll be a 45minute mash-up of some of your favorite stretches @ strengthening exercises, with some guided breathing & visualization, for a centering experience.

prepare for this virtual class ahead of time by getting your props ready... we don’t always use them, but it might be helpful to have: 

1) a strap (a thick rope or a long cloth belt) to accentuate stretches
2) a big cushion or pillow (to put on your lap for abdominal compression)
3) a stable / immobile surface to lean on (for extra support in some stretches)
4) a few light-weight dumbbells (if you typically use them)

Our Story

When Dharma Yoga Studio opened on Thanksgiving Day in 2009, we were all full of hope, and ready for surprises... But none of us foresaw that a global pandemic would relocate classes from our quaint brick & mortar studio to a virtual cyber-shala!

As it is, we've taken our community online. Let's stay connected through these wild times! Our Schedule Page is updated to reflect our virtual schedule, so please note that all classes are live-streamed on Zoom.

In order to participate in class with your favorite Dharma Teachers, please PRE-REGISTER on the Mind-Body-Online app, and then before the class starts, you'll receive an email from us which will include a link to join the class, by Zoom.

We've always wanted our space to feel like "home" to our community. And now that we're sequestered and socially-distanced, it's our turn to thank you for inviting Dharma Yoga Studio into your home.
