Safari Sunday

Today is my family’s favorite holiday. It’s not a commercial gift giving day. Just a time to spend with family and friends having good food and good times. I hope everyone has a relaxing day surrounded with all the reasons to give thanks. I’m thankful for my beautiful family, my fantastic team the office, and everyone that gifts me with their trust and the privilege of sharing their makeover transformation. May we all enjoy good health, good people, and good times; today and everyday.

My recent trip to speak in a conference in South Africa was capped off with my first ever safari. It definitely won’t be my last one. I profoundly felt like a visitor, a vo**ur, in nature’s home. I want to share that experience with all of you. Here is the first in our limited series: Safari Sunday

This patient came to me with lots of saggy skin in her upper lids. She wanted to look refreshed but very natural. She was concerned about looking like something was done. Her results open up her eyes and still look very natural.

The eyes are typically the first sign of aging. A quick procedure can really dial back the years and refresh a tired look. But it can’t be too aggressive. Soft and natural is best.

Today is a day to honor and celebrate those that work to keep our country, our communities, our citizens safe. Regardless of your personal politics I think we can all agree that the men and women that have served are deserving of our respect and appreciation. Today I celebrate those that gave of themselves in service of the freedoms we enjoy daily. “Thank you for your service” sometimes rings hollow in today’s day, but never for me, and certainly not today. Take a moment to thank a veteran today.

On behalf of myself and my practice, to all of our veterans, thank you all for your personal sacrifices in service to our country! Enjoy your day today. You earned it.

BBL surgery has a bad rep. It’s supposed to be risky, but that’s only if it’s done wrong. Using ultrasound allows us to be sure the fat is being placed in the safest area for the best results. It’s not only a good idea, it’s the law in Florida. It’s really easy to stay safe if you follow the rules. I use my own wireless ultrasound every single time. Every surgeon should be using this technique for BBL’s. It may take a few extra minutes but it’s a small price to pay for patient safety!

Today starts a week long celebration of Physician Assistants. They make medicine run behind the scenes and, often, in the front lines. Ramzi plays a huge role in my practice and I’m grateful to have her. If you have your own Ramzi take a moment to let them know how much they mean to you. I know my practice could not be the same without her thoughtful, safe, gentle and expert care of our patients! Happy PA week!!
