What "deep" means in massage:

It refers to the pressure level and the layers of muscle being addressed, not just a forceful sensation. ๐Ÿ’ช

Some people respond better to firm pressure, while others prefer lighter techniques that target underlying tension through longer, slower strokes.

(Sometimes your body doesn't allow for deep pressure. Thats why massage therapist take their time to work into a muscle.

Signs you may need deeper work:๐Ÿ’ฏ

Localized, persistent knots that limit movement.
Recurrent tightness in the same areas despite regular massage.

When deeper work may be beneficial:

Chronic muscle knots (myofascial adhesions) or specific areas of persistent tension.

After the massage I recommend to soak in a cup of Epsom salt for about 30 to 45 mins and then ice the area of concern.
