There really is a life before yoga and a life after yoga.

I shared with my students yesterday how I started. I remember going 28 times out of a 30 day package. You can probably guess my personality type. A little intense but I’ll admit it’s what catapulted my practice and my studies.

Yoga doesn’t ask for perfection. It asks for consistency and sincerity. Showing up again and again is where things actually shift.

There’s no better time to start than now. 🙏

Inspired by a question one of my students asked me, I felt called to share in case it resonates with you wherever you are in your life’s journey.

There’s something fresh about January. It’s also when I began practicing yoga 11 years ago.

If there’s ever a time to begin, it’s now. Right where you are. You never know where the path may lead. 🙏

This moment.
In 2025, something shifted.

I released the weight of losing my family.
Especially my mom.

I let go of the anger
that they all died in the same year.

I released the future
that never got to happen.

I forgave myself
for not being able to save her.
(If you’ve lived this, you understand.)

And slowly, I chose to move forward.
To feel life again.

Love. Liberation.

Someone asked me recently if I like traveling alone.
I do. I’ve done it most of my life. I wouldn’t have moved to Prague at 23 if I didn’t. Or gone to Rwanda. I’ve always said yes to the world on my own terms.

India was different.

It was one of the first trips in over a decade where I traveled with a group, and I had forgotten how much fun that can be. Sharing moments, seeing a place through other people’s eyes. It added something I didn’t even realize I’d been missing.

Thank you for putting together such a special journey. I had the best time with all of you. 🩷🇮🇳

I can’t wait to go back and bring my yoga community with me. We have such a nice group of people signed up, both Yoga teachers and travel enthusiasts.
