The University of Miami Brain Endowment Bank (UMBEB) is a National Institutes of Health (NIH) NeuroBioBank, one of six designated biorepositories or brain banks in the nation. The Brain Bank supports medical and scientific researchers who study the human brain in search of better medication and treatment, prevention and ultimately a cure. Following advanced research protocols and strict patient privacy policies, brain banks support nationwide research and global medical advancements.
