PPEC stands for "Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care" A PPEC is a facility that provides continual medical care to children (ages 0 to 21) with medically complex conditions in a nonresidential setting. Children can attend a PPEC up to a maximum of 12 hours per day while receiving nursing services, personal care, developmental therapies, and caregiver training.
