Miami DDA The Miami Downtown Development Authority grows & strengthens the economic health of Downtown Miami.

The Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is committed to improving the quality of life for businesses, employees, residents, and visitors in downtown Miami. As an independent agency of the City of Miami, the Miami DDA supports business growth, infrastructure improvements, and services for Downtown Miami residents and stakeholders. In addition to its programs and initiatives, the Miami DDA is partnering with the City and other government entities to strengthen Downtown Miami’s position as an international center for commerce, culture, and tourism. The organization is governed by a 15-member board comprised of three public appointees and 12 downtown property owners, residents and/or workers. Our Miami DDA Chairman, , is back with an update on our Board of Directors recruitment process and thanks our community for its continued commitment to building a stronger Downtown.

The free water taxi service has officially launched, running Monday through Friday (during initial launch) and offering a scenic, traffic-free connection between Downtown Miami (1635 N Bayshore Dr.) and South Beach.

Time is running out to apply for the Miami DDA Business Incentive Program.

If you’re looking to grow or expand your business in the heart of Downtown Miami, Quarter 2 applications are due by Friday, January 23, 2026.

Grant opportunities are available across multiple categories, including tech startups, retail, mid-size businesses, and food & beverage. These incentives support businesses that activate street-level spaces, create jobs, and contribute to Downtown Miami’s continued economic growth.
