Some days I just need to mix it up. My heart lays in sports performance training. I lift heavy at least 3 days per week, I do sprints one day and plyo training also 3 days mixed in. I always listen to what my body wants. Today it was fast movements and not heavy weights .

Plyometrics are one of the most effective ways to protect fast-twitch muscle fibers and bone mineral density during perimenopause.

For my friends who aren’t there yet - built all you can now so you can still train like an athlete when you’re late 40s and 50s (and hopefully 60-70s)

What are essential amino acids EAAs and branch chain amino acids BCAAs ?

The most current research shows us that if you’re eating a diet that is high in complete protein you actually do not need to take amino acids. But there are a few situations where I do recommend them and that would be a vegan diet extend extended periods of time with exercise and no food, as well as after an injury or surgery. After surgery, our body metabolizes amino acids differently and some amino acids become conditionally essential meaning instead of our body, making them we have to provide them. There’s also an extra demand for protein and amino acids after surgery because our body is working to repair tissue.

People are so confused and fooled by the peptide industry b/c the marketing geniuses behind the wellness industry has fooled them into a placebo effect. And I dont mean GLp1 or Insulin, those are technically peptides but also a Rx medication. I mean the peptides that pop up every other day that cost a ridiculous amount of money that you have to pay a healthcare practitioner to prescribe for you and get from a compounding pharmacy. With no human research behnid them. Just bc they are produced endogenously (in your body) doesn’t mean they are safe when taken exogenously. The biggest issue here is the lack of in depth understanding of biochemistry from all of the influencers and “social media scientists.”

Radium water of the 1920’s is today’s Peptides. No human trials, people just said they felt good. So why not? Let’s drink this radioactive water!
We have no human trials on peptides you need to sit back and think about the facts that everything people believe is from hearing it over and over again by people who are making money off of selling it . Or people who were in elite shape prior to taking them and probably also the same people who took PEDs 10-20 years ago.

I’m not hating, you can take whatever you want but I am saying- it’s risky. You also have absolutely no idea what is actually going into the peptides. Whenever I say that people will comment and say you don’t really understand how these compounding labs work or you obviously don’t understand the process. No I do understand the process I’ve been in this world for 30 years. We took peptides from China 15 years ago. People used to make this stuff in their house in Florida and sell it. Also, this is nothing new to anybody who’s been in the bodybuilding industry. It’s new to other people and I understand how compounding pharmacies work and the profit margin behind peptides.

Eggs do not increase cholesterol! This is a myth that became popular in the 2000s when people thought eating cholesterol increased cholesterol. But it’s been proven wrong! Eating saturated and trans fats increases cholesterol and your risk of heart disease. Eggs do not!

Eggs are an amazing source of protein and have choline for brain health! If you are watching your calories you want to mix egg whites with whole eggs to maximize protein with minimal fat calories.
