Y’all ask my thoughts. Here they are. Nothing is done because the gov’t is worried about your health. Money is the driver behind every decision. There’s a reason why I’m a CNS and not an RD. We didn’t even learn the food pyramid and have no larger interest groups that sponsor us. That comes along with less notability and a lot of grass roots work from the BCNS but our education and thought process is always rooted in the genuine metabolic health of our clients based solely on evidence backed research. I had a semester learning about the Mediterranean diet not pyramids .

All this to say- food pyramid, upside down, backwards in the shape of a plate- non of it matters bc it’s all driven by a financial agenda.

I don’t like posting anything political but this is just facts.

The is the perfect athlete plate! Wild salmon (with skin on) for protein, omega-3 zinc and calcium, lentils for fiber and carbohydrates yogurt for probiotics and protein. Then we have an entire half plate of mixed vegetables and another serving of carbohydrates in this rice. This lunch makes me proud!!!

Have you checked your MMA levels or only your blood B12? If you aren’t testing MMA you don’t know what is being utilized just what is circulating.

Is this true? No! In 2015 the NBA banned peptides and in 2020 the NFL. If you think it’s easy to beat these league tests you’re wrong. They are way more advanced than you think. Plus athletes are not going to risk their career over something that has no scientific evidence and could possible work against them.
I’ve been with athletes when they get stem cells and PRP, I’ve worked with countless athletes after injury and surgery through the NBA, NFLPA and my private clients. I know what the majority mindset it , and they are not taking injectable peptides. (I’m not saying all but I’m saying MOST) Let’s not start rumors for click bait.

Ladies!!!! Please advocate for the following tests:
1. Thyroid panel with free T3 & free T4
2. Iron panel
3. S*x hormone panel
4. CRP
I think they’re extremely important for all women to know especially as we’re going into perimenopause. It’s nice to have a baseline and understand what’s going on with our body are we going to find every answer to every problem? No, we’re not, but it is still nice to know these numbers.

I am happy to work with you and order all of these labs if your provider does not find it necessary or you feel unheard. We listen and help around here.

1. Eat more carbs - even more
2. Timing of your carbs
3. Not using your recovery window.

Never met an athlete who told me that he felt worse when we increased his carbs as a matter of fact, 90% of my athletes tell me that they feel better and most of their problems are solved when they stop doing low-carb.
