The tide cat.
Please pay attention. If you have cats always check your dryer and washer before putting them on. Some people will throw stuff in a washer throughout the day and start it later on when it‘s full. Cats on occasion will lay on the clothes and can get caught up in a wash cycle if asleep inside when you turn it on.
This did happen to a clients cat recently in a front loading machine and thank the stars she saw a ball of fur going round and round through the glass before stepping out of the room. The cat was dazed and did survive but needed IV fluids and treatment for ingesting detergent.

Head tilts
Not all head tilts are the same.
On occasion chronic ear infections that go untreated can lead to a head tilt. Severe ear infections can cause a head tilt not related to vestibular disease where we see a head tilt, nystagmus( rapid eye movement) and balance issues. On occasion these can require x-rays, CT’s and/or MRI to rule out other causes.
Astro is currently on meds ( doing better ) and will see how this plays out.

Ruptured ACL ( cruciate)
If you don’t address a ruptured cruciate (ACL) the odds increase for damaging the other side. Actually, a dog who ruptures an anterior cruciate has a 30-50% chance of rupturing the other.

Veterinary Clinic offering integrative therapies including but not limited to Medicine,Surgery,Dentistry, Acupuncture, Homeopathy ,Gold bead Implants, Laser therapy/acupuncture and Herbal Medicine.

We see and treat a large population of elder or senior pets. Some of our natural protocols have given us the opportunity to address the basic needs and wants of the elder pet and here at our practice they are never forgotten. All too often the issues elder pets face are too often categorized as normal for their age. Well, we work to change those thoughts as we believe that elder pets deserve the same care and merit as young pups and kittens do.

In addition we offer video otic scoping ( ear scoping ) for those pets that have chronic ear issues that never seem to improve.

We believe in a Holistic Vaccine Protocol tailored to your pets needs,habits and health status. If we address and inform on the things you need to know when your pets are young then we believe they will be around for a much longer time. Although we strive to see new clients in a timely manner, we do advise that previous records,results and x-rays be sent to our office prior to your pets’ consult. Complete histories are important in determining if your pets problem is one that can be helped and resolved by our Doctor and staff. So yes, we do the things that regular veterinarians do but in addition we specialize in a few other modalities that when grouped together may help keep your pet remain a family member for a long,long time.
