On Monday, we welcomed , United States Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), along with Dr. Mehmet Oz, Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and Wilton Simpson, Florida Commissioner of Agriculture, to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital as part of the “Florida Food is Health” initiative, focused on expanding access to healthy food for patients and families in hospital settings.

We are proud that Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is a leader in this space, with our food and nutrition team already advancing efforts to source fresh produce and offer healthy menu options. Nicklaus Children’s President & CEO Matthew A. Love formally signed the initiative’s pledge, making Nicklaus Children’s the first healthcare organization in Florida to do so, reaffirming our commitment to elevating quality, nutritious meal options for the children and families we serve. 🏥
