If you haven’t figured it out yet, chiropractic is a functional, full body approach. We aren’t interested in simply alleviating the symptom, but want to address the root neurologic cause so that pain can resolve AND function can improve. This is true healing 🙌

Every holiday season we take our team on a field trip to some sort of uniquely aligned destination. There’s a special little spot on the shores Lake Michigan called The Buffalo House where we spent this past Friday morning.

We gathered and shared food, stories and laughs, discussed the history of the clinic and year-to-date statistics, strategized for our next phases of growth, opened secret Santa gifts, took a good visit to the beach and crafted Christmas ornaments.

We are incredibly proud of the team we have been able to build this year and are humbly very, very grateful. As we welcome our newest little blessing into our lives and our practice, which inevitably merge over time, we could not feel in a better spot to continue to develop our passions, systems, quality family care and overall environment in a way that benefits all.

Cheers to another year and here’s to all that has yet to come 💗🌳

Drs Ferguson welcomed their beautiful son Sturgill Henry late Friday night peacefully at home.

Your care will resume tomorrow as Dr. Grant returns for normal hours. Dr. K will be back sometime in the new year. Both her and baby are healthy and happy nesting at home ☺️

We thank you for your patience with our schedule and for everyone who reached out and sent love- it was all felt. We give all the praise to God and are so excited to bring this love into our dream come true practice with you all!!

You’ve probably seen her around the community by now, but let’s learn a little bit more about Amanda!

This ray of sunshine has been connected to our doctors for over 5 years and when it aligned for us all, we gladly brought her onto the Giving Tree team. Amanda is what you would describe as a well-rounded, perfectly free spirit- boundless and beautiful while also fearlessly and devotedly committed to her passions and crafts. More recently, she has taken the journey into motherhood which she is totally rocking, with # 2 on the way 😍

Her qualifications are impressive, and although you will primarily find her representing us at community events, she is (we feel) one of the more well-versed massage therapists in NWI with specialties ranging from athletics to cupping. We could not ask for someone more fit to represent our model of neurologic based care. All that aside, what truly makes Amanda great is WHO she is- there is nothing like connecting with a genuinely incredibly human being!!

This Saturday you can find her at the always amazing European Farmers Market event, the Mistletoe Market, in the downtown Chesterton Square.

The event promises over 100 tents filled with local products and artisans selling their wares, local store happenings, Christmas trees and wreaths for purchase, sleigh rides and more.

From the European Market team:

‘As you wander the market and town, you’ll be able to nibble on festive foods, treats, and sip on traditional hot chocolate and specialty drinks such as spiced cider or mulled wine to keep you warm. True to tradition, the event will be open to all and free of charge.’

Colic and reflux are the “unwanted besties”
Where one goes, the other follows. And both are rooted in the same thing: a dysregulated nervous system. 💙

Physical tension from birth (yes, even “easy” births) affects your baby’s vagus nerve - the nerve that controls their entire digestive system.
When the nervous system is stressed, the upper digestive system (reflux) and lower digestive system (colic/gas) can’t communicate properly. Your baby’s body is literally disconnected from itself.

Babies also co-regulate with their parents - meaning your stress affects their stress and vice versa - and you have a perfect storm.

Pediatric chiropractic care is intentional and incredibly gentle. Our doctors are trained to gently adjust babies and remove interference in their nervous system, so that the littles bodies can finally do what they’re designed to do: digest properly, regulate stress, and feel calm.
