BREAKING NEWS: Feline Fugitive Leads Police on Bizarre Car Chase

MIDDLE GROVE, NY — Authorities are baffled this morning after Milton Veterinary Hospital's house cat—identified as FlufferNutter—allegedly stole a vehicle and led officers on what police are calling “the most confusing pursuit in department history.”
The incident began around 8:42 AM when neighbors reported a parked sedan “honking repeatedly and spinning in slow circles.” Responding officers arrived to find the vehicle weaving down the street with a small, fluffy driver behind the wheel.
“We thought it was a prank,” said Officer Barks, still visibly shaken. “Then the suspect made eye contact with me. It was a cat. A very confident cat.”
“It was like watching a toddler drive,” said one bystander. “Except the toddler had more fur and better reflexes.”
Fluffer spotting a narrow alley, he made a dramatic swerve—mostly by accident, because he sneezed.
The police car couldn’t follow because no human-driven car could make it through, but a cat driven one? Absolutely. Fluffer rolled to a stop, hopped out, and casually groomed his paw like he hadn’t just committed at least seven traffic violations.
Officers eventually approached the abandoned car to find no driver, only a single paw print on the horn.
Fluffer was later located at his home, taking a cat nap.
Authorities say no charges will be filed, citing “lack of opposable thumbs” and “extreme cuteness.”
