Recently on Middle Village Moms a person wrote that I do not care about my customers and that I buy drugs from China because they are cheaper. This is not true at all! I do care about my customers just like any other independent pharmacy around me does. I unfortunately have no choice in the matter. The medicine is out sourced to all different countries(India, China, etc...) . I, along with all the other independent pharmacies order from the biggest wholesalers on the market nationally and regionally. The prices we buy the medicine is based on reimbursements from the prescription insurance companies(Pharmacy Benefit Managers). I or any other independent pharmacy cannot stay in business if we purchase something and get reimbursed below the cost of what we buy it. No business is sustainable that way. If the meat market next door buys steak at $15 a pound can't sell it at $10 a pound and continue to stay in business. The person who wrote that about me is totally wrong and has taken our conversation out of context. I stand in my pharmacy along with every other independent pharmacy around me with pride and integrity and proud to help and serve MY COMMUNITY! If anyone would like to speak to me about this I am open to discussion as long as you don't put it on Facebook and take it out of context. Please do not believe what you read on FB all the time. I appreciate all the people who took the logical approach to that person's ignorant statement and responded. Thank you all to my loyal customers. I am always open to any questions and discussion.
