Meet Dr. Madhu Gupta, our audiologist at Cleveland ENT & Sinus Center! Dr. Gupta’s work spans across numerous organizations and fields, and she brings extensive expertise in diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology. As a member of the American Academy of Audiology, she has a deep understanding of the newest changing technology and management needs to serve her patients well. She specializes in working with hearing aids, able to prescribe, program, and troubleshoot simple, modern aids to highly sophisticated programmable digital aids. Dr. Gupta made history as one of the first few hundred students to be accepted for her degree program in Bombay, India 1983. She continued her studies and research in Zambia, Tennessee, Ohio, and Arizona.

In her free time, Dr. Gupta volunteers with local Indian organizations to promote culture and art. We are lucky to have her on our team!

Heat has a huge impact on our sleep!

The body is not able to regulate internal temperature well when it is hot out, making it harder for the body to cool down when it is time to sleep. This can make it hard to fall asleep and stay asleep. Plus, heat can cause more breathing issues in a stuffy room, exacerbating sleep apnea and snoring.

July is UV Safety Awareness Month! Protect your ears, nose, and throat from sun damage this summer.

The sun can do great damage to your ear, nose, and throat, and it is important to get ahead of any long-term problems. Your ears and nose are exposed to the sun and potential damage the minute you step outside. Small sunburns can cause pain and peeling, and prolonged and repeated burns may lead to skin cancer. Extreme heat can also dry out the nostrils and throat, making you more at risk for infections.

Remember to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, seek shade during peak hours, and carry sun protection with you.
