...and the AMA recently sent a letter to the sponsors of the Chiropractic Medicare Modernization Act urging them NOT to vote in favor of Medicare coverage for chiropractic services performed within the legal state scope of chiropractic practice. The studies are in, and the data is clear... chiropractic care is much less expensive than medical care of low back pain, neck pain and most musculoskeletal pain syndromes. Tell senator Blumenthal you are with him in support of this bill!

A landmark study published in JAMA-Psychiatry in January 2022 is just now beginning to gain some attention. A remarkable study that proves that "Pain reprocessing Therapy," a form of psychotherapy, is more effective for chronic back pain than usual treatment or placebo. The effects of the treatment were verified by f-MRI.

More than 50 million Americans suffer from chronic back pain — but a new drug-free groundbreaking treatment, pain reprocessing therapy, is helping patients and offering new hope. NBC’s Jacob Soboroff reports for TODAY.

Our public health officials failed to take advantage of a teachable moment by avoiding weight loss advice and proper nutrition during the covid pandemic. Worse yet, The NY Times just printed a "guest essay" that criticizes the new obesity guidelines for kids and Mt Sinai School of Medicine has emailed their entire school arguing that diet culture is racist! ...yet medical science shows time and time again that obesity is linked to chronic illness.

Manage your nutrition, posture and overall well-being in one place -- with chiropractic care.

Your perception creates your reality!

Your perception creates your reality!

As we journey upon a new year let us remember our own perceptions!

Positive perceptions of the mind enhance health by engaging immune functions, while inhibition of immune activities by negative perceptions can precipitate dis-ease. Those negative perceptions can also create debilitating, chronic psychological stress that has a profound and negative impact on gene function.

Research on mice has show, for example, that long-term exposure to stress hormones leaves a lasting mark on the genome and modulates the behavior of genes that control mood and behavior.

To see if stress might epigenetically influence genes involved in corticosterone (the rodent version of cortisol), for four weeks control mice drank plain water without this glucocorticoid hormone. Mice who received corticosterone displayed characteristics of anxiety in behavioral tests. Assessment of gene activity showed that these mice had a significant increase in Fkbp5, a protein whose human equivalent has been linked to mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disease. (Lee 2010)
