From : “Your urgent support is needed for the Jamaican seasonal orchard workers and their families who have been impacted by Hurricane Melissa.
Each fall, hundreds of skilled Jamaican orchard workers travel to Vermont - helping us tend, pick, and pack the apples that feed our communities.
This year, as they care for our harvest, their own families are struggling through the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, which brought widespread flooding and destruction across Jamaica.
These men and women are more than workers - they’re part of our orchard family. Their strength and dedication are woven into every apple we grow.
Today, Vermont apple growers are joining together to support them through the Vermont Apple Growers’ Support Fund for Jamaican Seasonal Workers.
100% of proceeds go directly to each Jamaican H-2A/H-2B
team member across participating orchards.
Please help us deliver relief and hope to the people who make
Vermont’s harvest possible.”
