The holiday spirit was alive and well at Greencroft Middlebury this past weekend! 🎄🍪

Alli, a junior at Northridge High School, gathered a group of friends to bake cookies and deliver them to our independent living and assisted living residents. Along the way, they were even asked to sing—and happily shared their voices while spreading cheer throughout the community.

The group also delivered cookies to the Middlebury fire station and other locations around town, making it a truly special day of giving. We’re so grateful for their kindness and the joy they brought to everyone they visited! 💖✨

From humble beginnings to a thriving, vibrant community — Greencroft Middlebury has come a long way! It all began in 2002, when the land was acquired from the owners of Das Dutchman Essenhaus. A year later, in 2003, the groundbreaking began, and by 2004, our very first residents moved in, officially beginning the story of our community. Over the years, we continued to grow — opening our Senior Center in 2005 and our Hobby Shop and Wood Shop in 2007. By 2012, we expanded again, introducing Assisted Living services to better serve our residents’ needs.

Most recently, in 2023, we proudly opened Bontrager Ridge, our beautiful new Assisted Living facility, marking another exciting chapter in our history. Through every milestone, one thing has remained constant — our commitment to creating a warm, caring, and connected community. Here’s to celebrating how far we’ve come and looking forward to all that’s still ahead! 💚

Our Assisted Living residents at Greencroft Middlebury have been getting into the holiday spirit with some adorable Christmas tree crafts! 🎄✨

They had so much fun creating these little decorations, and now they’re being displayed throughout Bontrager Ridge and in the residents’ own apartments. It’s a wonderful way to bring festive cheer to every corner of our community!

Our Assisted Living residents at Greencroft Middlebury have had a wonderfully busy few days! ❄️✨

We spent an afternoon making paper snowflakes, and the creativity was incredible—so many unique designs! A couple of residents even built a small snowman, and of course we brought him inside so everyone could admire our frosty little friend. ⛄️💙

We wrapped it all up by reminiscing about childhood snow days, sharing stories of sledding, hot cocoa, and winter fun. Moments like these make the season even more special!

The ARC Photo Club creates stunning, artistic images you’ll be proud to display in your home or office — each piece lovingly crafted by artists with disabilities from our community. You’ll have the chance to meet the artists, view their beautiful work, and even purchase pieces to support their creativity.

This free event is open to everyone — residents, families, and members of the community. Come enjoy inspiring art, friendly faces, and local talent! 💛

A few days ago, residents at Greencroft Middlebury gathered in their community center to celebrate Thanksgiving together—and it was truly special.
Over the years, this space has become a beloved hub for holidays and get-togethers, especially for residents who don’t travel for the holiday. Everyone contributes a dish, a story, or a laugh, and it all comes together to create one big Thanksgiving meal shared among friends who feel more like family.
Moments like this remind us that Greencroft is so much more than a neighborhood—it’s a community built on connection, support, and heartfelt traditions. And we have to say…the food was really good!
