March is Team Member Appreciation Month, and today we’re proud to highlight Tom Bebout, a valued member of the Maintenance team at Greencroft Middlebury! 💛

Tom’s journey began with a part-time maintenance job at a senior living facility during college, and he quickly discovered his passion. “I just fell in love with it,” he says—and eleven years later, including two wonderful years at Middlebury, that passion continues every single day.

Tom loves interacting with residents, keeping up with the community, and ensuring that everyone at Middlebury feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. Each day, he starts by reviewing work orders, mechanical systems, and resident requests to plan a schedule that makes a real difference in people’s lives.

What brings Tom the most joy isn’t just fixing problems—it’s serving the residents and caring for the campus like it’s his own home. His dedication, kindness, and problem-solving skills make Greencroft Middlebury a better place for everyone.

Greencroft Middlebury is currently seeking a Weekends-Only Care Attendant to join our team at the Bontrager Ridge Assisted Living building. This day-shift position on Saturdays and Sundays is a wonderful opportunity for anyone looking to serve others and gain meaningful experience working with older adults.

In this role, team members help provide a high level of care by offering non-certified assistance, support, and protection to residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. You’ll also provide direct care to individuals with dementia, honoring each person’s unique strengths and individual needs with compassion and respect.

We had a wonderful time welcoming the Middlebury Public Library to Greencroft Middlebury for a special creative activity with our Independent and Assisted Living residents. Together, we made beautiful 3D vases, and it was a blast bringing these unique art pieces to life!

Our residents had a fantastic day getting creative, sharing laughs, and enjoying time together. Experiences like these are a great reminder of how much fun it is to learn something new and create alongside friends.

Rosie was so pleasantly surprised to see her beautifully restored bench—and of course, she celebrated the moment by playing a few tunes for everyone to enjoy! 🎶

Rosie was pleasantly surprised when she saw it — and to celebrate, she even sat down and played a few tunes for us! 🎶

Last year, we helped residents soar in a hot air balloon and ride a locomotive for the very first time. This year, we’re ready to honor even more incredible dreams.

Greencroft Middlebury is excited to share an opening for a Part-Time Kitchen Attendant at our Assisted Living Bontrager Ridge building! This position works Monday–Friday during lunch hours and is a wonderful stepping stone for anyone interested in serving and working alongside older adults in a meaningful way.

Responsibilities include keeping the kitchen organized, placing food orders with our food service company, creating daily menus (including special events), and preparing and serving meals while following all food safety regulations.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in our beautiful facility, where we offer a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages growth, learning, and autonomy.
