Healing doesn’t always look loud or obvious.
Sometimes it looks like getting through the day.
Sometimes it looks like trying again.

Whether you’re navigating overwhelming emotions, feeling misunderstood, or just doing your best to keep going… your effort matters.

You are not alone in this.

If you need support, we’re here.

Your body often speaks what your mind hasn’t fully processed yet.

Stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm don’t just stay in your thoughts. They can show up physically in ways that are easy to overlook or dismiss.

This doesn’t mean something is wrong with you.
It means your system is trying to get your attention.

When we slow down and begin to notice these patterns, we create space to understand what we’re feeling instead of pushing it aside.

Awareness is where change begins.

If you’ve been feeling this lately, you’re not alone.

Living with bipolar disorder isn’t something most people can fully see from the outside.

The shifts, the intensity, the effort it takes just to stay steady… it’s real.

If this is part of your experience, you are not “too much” and you are not alone. There is strength in continuing, even on the days that feel heavy.

Support, understanding, and compassion make a difference. And you deserve all three.

Coping can take many forms, especially during times of stress or emotional overwhelm.

Sometimes, what looks like a habit is actually a way of trying to manage something deeper. In therapy, we create space to explore those patterns with curiosity and compassion—without judgment.

You deserve support, and you don’t have to carry it alone.

In relationships, it’s rarely one feeling or the other.
Most of the time, it’s both.

You can feel frustrated and still care.
You can need space and still want connection.
You can love someone and still feel stuck.

Part of the work in therapy is helping couples slow this down and make space for both sides of the experience—without turning against each other.

When we stop seeing our partner as the problem and start recognizing the pattern, things begin to shift.

If this resonates, you’re not alone.
Support can make a difference.

Just because something feels uncomfortable…
doesn’t mean it’s wrong.

Sometimes growth feels like guilt.
Sometimes healing feels like loss.
Sometimes choosing yourself feels unfamiliar.

That doesn’t mean you’re going backwards.
It usually means you’re doing something different.

Healing doesn’t always look the way we expect it to.

It’s not always big breakthroughs or visible change.
Sometimes it’s quiet decisions…
choosing yourself, setting a boundary, or simply getting through the day.

Growth can be uncomfortable, but it’s also where real change begins.

If you’re in this season, you’re not alone.

If you’re ready to start your healing journey, we’re here to support you.

As we approach the spring equinox, the days are slowly getting longer and the earth is beginning to wake up again. After a long winter, the gray rainy days can sometimes feel heavy. But rain has an important role. It nourishes the soil and prepares the ground for new life.

In many ways, healing works the same way. Difficult seasons often create space for reflection, growth, and change.

If this season has felt heavy for you, know that growth does not always begin in the sunshine. Sometimes it begins quietly in the rain.

Spring is a reminder that growth doesn’t happen overnight. Just like nature slowly awakens after winter, healing and personal growth take time.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, remember that small steps forward still matter. One conversation, one moment of reflection, one day at a time.

At Augustine Counseling, we’re here to support you through every season of life.

🌿 If you’ve been thinking about starting therapy, this season can be a beautiful time to begin.

Today we honor the strength, resilience, and courage of women everywhere.

To the women who are healing from things they don’t always talk about…
who are holding it together when life feels overwhelming…
who are rebuilding after heartbreak, loss, or betrayal…
and who continue showing up for their families while carrying so much inside.

Your strength matters. Your story matters. And you deserve support along the way.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the women who continue to rise, heal, and grow.

If you or someone you know could benefit from support, Augustine Counseling is here to help.

Healthy relationships develop when both people feel seen, heard, and supported. Therapy can help individuals and couples strengthen communication, deepen understanding, and build healthier patterns of connection.

You show up for everyone else.

At work.
At home.
In your relationships.

But somewhere along the way, you stopped checking in with yourself.

Individual therapy is a space to pause.
To breathe.
To understand why you react the way you do.
To untangle what’s been sitting quietly beneath the surface.

You don’t have to wait until everything falls apart.

Sometimes growth begins the moment you decide you deserve support too.

Brother’s Open Private Practice

In November of 2014, twin brothers Mark and Michael opened Augustine Counseling, a private practice to focus on their therapy interests. 3 and a half years later they have grown to include six other therapists with a diverse set of interests. Although they have expanded, the feeling of a small family practice still remains. We believe that with commitment anything is possible, and nothing can’t be overcome.
