Distance doesn’t mean the love is gone.

Sometimes it means life got heavy.
Communication broke down.
Hurt went unspoken.

Couples therapy isn’t about blame.
It’s about creating a space where both people feel safe enough to soften again.

Healing is possible.
Reconnection is possible. 🤍

Family therapy creates space to slow down and truly hear one another.

When stress builds and communication breaks down, it’s often not about one person — it’s about patterns. Therapy helps families step back, understand those patterns, and reconnect in a healthier way.

Support is available when you’re ready.

Winter can be tough on mental and emotional health. Short days, cold weather, and staying indoors more can quietly affect mood, energy, and motivation. If this season feels heavier than expected, support is available. You don’t have to navigate it alone.

Winter can be a heavy season.
Low energy, stress, and emotional fatigue can increase the need for comfort — especially around food.

Turning toward comfort isn’t a failure.
It’s often the nervous system responding to overwhelm.

Therapy offers a space to explore these patterns with care, without shame or judgment, and to find support that feels grounding and sustainable.

You don’t have to navigate this season alone.

Six more weeks of winter ❄️
For many, that means heavier moods, lower energy, and turning inward.

Winter slows things down, and when life gets quiet, stress, loneliness, and relationship tension can feel louder. If this season has been weighing on you, you’re not alone.

You don’t have to wait for spring to feel better. Therapy offers a supportive space to process what’s coming up and move through winter with more clarity and support.

Cold weather and limited daylight can naturally slow the nervous system. This season often calls for rest, reflection, and additional support rather than pushing through stress or fatigue. Small grounding practices, paired with therapeutic support, can help restore emotional balance and regulation during the winter months.

Healing continues, even in stillness.

Brother’s Open Private Practice

In November of 2014, twin brothers Mark and Michael opened Augustine Counseling, a private practice to focus on their therapy interests. 3 and a half years later they have grown to include six other therapists with a diverse set of interests. Although they have expanded, the feeling of a small family practice still remains. We believe that with commitment anything is possible, and nothing can’t be overcome.
