Update-
Two suspects were taken into custody during an initial foot pursuit with officers. Over the course of the next eight hours, officers located and took two additional suspects into custody. A fifth suspect has still not been found.

A stolen vehicle and a stolen firearm have been recovered.

Residents are still encouraged to lock all vehicles and report any suspicious persons to the Middlebury Police Department at (802) 388-3191.

Officers are currently in the area of Route 7 and Boardman Street (near G Stone Motors) attempting to locate two teenage males who were involved in a motor vehicle theft and multiple thefts from motor vehicles in the area.

If you are in this area please lock all vehicles and be aware of any suspicious persons. If you see anyone in the area that matches this description do not approach them and instead immediately call the Middlebury Police Department at (802) 388-3191.
