🌸Meet our newest Board Member, Makaya Patterson!🌸

This announcement is especially meaningful for us. We couldn’t imagine a better person to step into the board position previously held by Ms. Buffy Dunnaville.

Makaya’s journey with Girls Supporting Girls is a beautiful full-circle moment. She began as a participant in our program, joining monthly activities, community service projects, and annual events, and today, she returns in a new role as a member of our Board of Directors.

Watching a young woman grow through this program and come back to help lead it is exactly what Girls Supporting Girls is all about. Makaya represents the impact of mentorship, leadership, and sisterhood in action, and we are so proud to welcome her to the board. 🩵

Please join us in celebrating Makaya Patterson!

We couldn’t be more thankful for the continued support and outreach our community has given our organization.

Thank you Bell County Chamber of Commerce for the wonderful donation!

✨ We need your help! ✨

The Bell County Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for our annual Women in Business Dinner, and we’re currently collecting items for this year’s silent auction.

This year, auction proceeds will benefit the Buffy Dunnaville Memorial Scholarship, created to continue Buffy’s legacy of encouraging and empowering young women in our community. 💙

We’re asking our amazing local businesses and community members to consider donating:
🎁 Gift baskets or gift cards
🎟️ Experiences or event tickets
💼 Services (spa, photography, consulting, etc.)
🛍️ Products from your business

Your donation will support a meaningful cause and showcase your business to attendees from across the region.

📩 Want to donate? Contact Rian Johnson at rian.johnson@kctcs.edu by Wednesday, March 25.

Thank you for helping us make this year’s Women in Business Dinner both impactful and memorable.

Tonight, several of our girls had the incredible honor of accepting the Women in Business Leadership Award on behalf of Buffy Dunnaville, presented by the Bell County Chamber of Commerce.

Our newest board member, Makaya Patterson, shared a heartfelt reflection on the impact Buffy has had on all of our lives, a testament to her leadership, mentorship, and lasting influence.

It was truly inspiring to be surrounded by so many remarkable women who are committed to uplifting and supporting one another across Bell County. We are grateful to be part of such a strong and empowering community.
