Frankincense Boswellia carteri Boswellic Acid Extract powder 35% in Organic Olive Oil-2 ounces

I burned my gum on something I ate that was too hot and ended up with a painful blister in my mouth. I had previously made this blend for a client who was dealing with a toothache, and it helped calm her discomfort until she could get to the dentist. Since I still had some left in a jar, I transferred a bit into a dropper bottle and applied it to my blister. Within two days, the blister was completely gone.

I chose olive oil as the base because it’s edible and gentle for use inside the mouth. It also offers its own anti‑inflammatory benefits. I avoid jojoba oil for oral use since it isn’t meant to be ingested.

The 35% Boswellic Acid Extract is excellent for soothing inflammation of all kinds. The 70% powder, however, is far too strong for use inside the mouth and could potentially irritate or burn the gums.

Clients have shared their own experiences with this blend as well. One used it as a warm compress for an earache and said it relieved her pain. Another applied it to a cold sore on her lip and also found it helpful for her cracked lips.
