We’re accepting new or gently used coats in all sizes to help local children stay warm this winter. Drop-offs can be made in our lobby now through the holiday season.

The Dane County Parks Education Division is beginning a Memory Café series. Memory Cafés are social settings for people with memory loss and their care partners. These Memory Cafés will take place monthly at the Lussier Family Heritage Center and will focus on nature-based programming and occur monthly on Tuesdays.

We are looking for dedicated volunteers to sign up to be docents during these events, who will assist with welcoming visitors to the building and showing them around, engage visitors in activities, and help with crafts and refreshments. If you are at all interested, consider attending our Training/Info session. This does not commit you to be a docent but is a great opportunity to increase your awareness about dementia.
