Ready for the year of the fire horse ๐Ÿ’œ

When the Snake Leaves and the Horse Arrives

We are moving through the final phase of the Snake โ€” and many people are feeling it in their bodies, emotions, and relationships.

This stage can feel like:
โ€ข restlessness
โ€ข emotional shedding
โ€ข impatience or inner pressure
โ€ข a strong desire for clarity and movement

But hereโ€™s the part most people misunderstandโ€ฆ

The Snake doesnโ€™t rush.
She releases by completion, not force.
Whatโ€™s surfacing now isnโ€™t meant to be fixed or pushed through โ€” itโ€™s meant to finish.

You may be noticing:
โ€ข old patterns losing their grip
โ€ข relationships changing tone or ending quietly
โ€ข priorities shifting without drama
โ€ข a sense that something no longer fits, even if you canโ€™t name whatโ€™s next

This doesnโ€™t mean youโ€™re stuck.
It means the old skin is still falling away.

The Horse energy hasnโ€™t fully arrived yet.
The Chinese Year of the Horse begins on 17 February 2026.

Until then, the Horse is stirring, not charging.

1. Downward Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana)
Instead Of: Traditional Downward Dog, which requires significant flexibility in the hamstrings, calves, and shoulders.
Try This: A bent-knee variation with a focus on pushing the hips up and extending the spine. This reduces strain on the legs while still opening the shoulders and lengthening the back.
Benefit: Allows for better alignment and spinal extension, making the pose accessible for beginners.
2. Standing Forward Bend (Uttanasana)
Instead Of: A straight-legged fold that requires considerable hamstring and lower back flexibility.
Try This: A slight bend in the knees, bringing the chest closer to the thighs. This maintains the spinal stretch without straining tight hamstrings.
Benefit: Protects the lower back and gradually improves hamstring flexibility.
3. Seated Forward Bend (Paschimottanasana)
