Parvati Lina Hanson, E-RYT 500
She started her own yoga practice in her early teens and began teaching in the greater NY metropolitan area in 2001. Yoga has been her main profession ever since. Lina finished the professional level Kripalu training in 2010 and received her Sanskrit name Parvati. She offers group classes on all levels, private yoga sessions, prenatal yoga, meditation technique, Pranayama, guided meditation, chair yoga, yoga workshops and theme classes for special occasions/celebrations. Lina feels passionate about teaching Yoga whether it is in larger groups or in private sessions. In addition to being a Yoga teacher, her experience as a group fitness instructor spans 15 years in the general fitness industry. She has taught a variety of classes such as Body Sculpting, Kick Boxing, Step up and stretch classes etc. Her own physical training background also includes many years of dance and Shotokan Karate. Lina moved to Vermont from Jersey City with her husband and their young son in 2008. While in the greater NY metropolitan area she also studied and performed as an actress /singer /dancer. Lina came to the US from Sweden in 1997 to pursue her acting career. Singing is still a big part of her life and is something she can bring to Yoga by Chanting. Currently Parvati is offering her classes via Zoom and at her Studio at Everybody Physical Therapy. She is available for private sessions by appointment.

Happy Halloween week!
Nothing scary coming your way from me, quite the opposite. Just a great practice that might help you avoid “scares”. There is now a video recording of the Balance Clinic Workshop from last Sunday, so if you missed the workshop - you can still take it in your own time. You buy the recording in the Shop as a product. (it is not in the library). It is a practical foundational workshop for building balance. After taking/ watching it - I will also email you notes of the exercises in the video. Just send me an email or text that you want the notes and then I’ll also make sure you can see the workshop twice if you like. As reviewing might feel helpful. This edited video version is only 56 minutes long. It is not strenuous and I start with an easy seated warm-up. You need a chair and that’s it.
This short workshop is meant for chair yogis and gentle floor yogis alike, anyone who wants to improve their foundational balance skills.
Just so you know- We always work on balance in the chair yoga classes, since it is so important.

Balance Clinic – Short Workshop 📅 Sunday at 12 PM US EST ( 1 hour+)
Please register in advance, if you haven’t already of course. Or pass along to a friend who might be interested.

Balance Clinic – Short Workshop
This beginner-friendly workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to improve their balance and build a simple, effective daily practice. Whether you're just starting out or looking to deepen your foundation, this session will give you the tools to feel more stable, aware, and confident in your body.
✨ You'll learn the same techniques I use in class to create stability and body awareness—skills that support not only basic balance but also more challenging poses down the line.
💡 Expect plenty of small tips and practical tools to help you along the way, so you can carry this practice into your everyday life with ease.
🌟 I’ll help you shift from frustration to acceptance—and even turn it into a joyful game. Your attitude has everything to do with it, and we’ll explore how to make balance feel playful, not pressured.
No experience needed. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to move a bit! Have a pen and note pad handy in case you want to write a few things down.

If you have yet to created your Yoga account – Easy to do! - just click on image link below and set up your yoga account with name and email.
Get your class card in shop, or click on the class you want and it will prompt you, just do that a bit before class.
The Balance Clinic ticket, you’ll find it the shop on the site. ( it has a pretty picture of a pair of feet)
You can register for a class early, you won’t lose you spot in the class. There is a clock counting down until class start. Before your very first class you sign a simple waiver.
