The sixth limb of yoga, Dharana, means “concentration.” It’s the steady practice of focusing the mind in one direction—on the breath, a mantra, a candle flame, or a single point of awareness.

Dharana teaches patience and discipline. It’s not about silencing every thought; it’s about gently returning, again and again, to the present moment.

Each time you return, the mind grows quieter.
Each time you stay, the space of awareness deepens.

From concentration, meditation begins.
Next up: Dhyana.

The lights were low, the room was glowing, and the energy was off the charts. 🔥✨
Nothing like a hot flow under the black lights to remind us how fun it is to move, sweat, and shine together.

They say yoga is just laying around… and sometimes, it does look like a nap. 😴 But behind the stillness is strength, awareness, and the kind of deep work no gym can touch. Yoga CAN be a workout—but it’s ALWAYS a work in 🫶

Sometimes the props feel like obstacles in our path. But in Yin, those obstacles can be gifts — the things that keep us from going further than we should, the quiet reminders to pause before we push too far.

A little resistance can be its own kind of wisdom.

Legend has it, if you leave a warm biscuit unattended at Serenity, Billie the Biscuit Goblin will appear…She moves swiftly. She shows no mercy. She leaves only crumbs.

Annie brings the biscuits. Billie brings the appetite. Balance restored. 🧈✨

The fifth limb of yoga, Pratyahara, means “withdrawal of the senses.”

It’s the bridge between the physical and the subtle—between the outer practice and the inner world. After the steadiness of Asana and the balance of Pranayama, Pratyahara invites us to draw our awareness inward and rest in silence.

It’s not about shutting the world out; it’s about coming home to the quiet place within yourself that the world can’t reach.

Here, the senses rest.
The mind softens.
The soul begins to listen.

Next up: Dharana—the practice of concentration.

Teaching yoga isn’t about perfect cues or fancy poses. It’s about presence. About showing up, tuning in, and holding space for people to unravel, rebuild, and remember who they are.

Every class is a conversation — not between teacher and student, but between each person and their own inner wisdom. We’re just there to keep the space open, steady, and full of permission to be human.
