There’s something about being in South Africa that feels freeing.

Not just because of the views.
Not just because of the ocean.

But because I stepped out anyway.

I boarded the flight.
I invested in the experience.
I said yes to new rooms, new conversations, new people.

And if I’m honest, there was fear.

Fear of leaving work.
Fear of the unknown.
Fear of wondering if this was too much.

People think my glow comes from good products. It actually comes from boundaries.

I took this photo on a regular day.
No makeup.
No filters.
Just me… wrapped up, rested, and finally breathing.

People always assume the glow comes from a fancy routine.
It doesn’t.
It comes from the emotional weight I stopped carrying.

For years, my skin reflected the chaos of my life — the overthinking, the overgiving, the exhaustion that I tried to hide with smiles and productivity.

But this?
This softness you see on my face now?
It didn’t show up until I learned to choose myself.

When I stopped saying yes out of guilt.
When I stopped being the emotional support blanket for everyone else.
When I stopped stretching myself thin just to keep the peace.

My face relaxed.
My body relaxed.

I know I’m not the only mom that has been here. 😂
My attempt to make a video went all the way left.
My daughter took the opportunity to be loud as ever and jump in the shot.
I was forgetting what I was even talking about.

When I watched this back it was so funny I had to share it anyway.

A tree stacked so high it looked like a Macy’s display.
