Local Girl Scout Troops 277 and 687 recently donated gift bags to patients at Garnet Health Medical Center's Infusion Center as part of the Girl Scouts Silver Project. This donation was made in honor of a troop's mother, who passed away from cancer, and served as a meaningful way for the girls to give back.

Thank you to the Girl Scouts for their kindness and brightening our patients' day!

Spagnoli Family Cancer Center at Garnet Health Medical Center is offering FREE yoga classes, led by instructor Elisa Piscitelli, E-RYT, for anyone who is currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiation for any type of cancer, or within six months of their last treatment.

You do not have to be a patient of Garnet Health to participate.

Classes begin January 13, 2026 and offer two class days a month.

Join Garnet Health Medical Center, Ray W. Moody, M.D Breast Center for a FREE in-person beauty workshop on December 29 at 5:00 pm in the Radiation Oncology Conference Room! 💄✨🤲

This workshop provides hands-on makeup and skincare, as well as wigs and head covering techniques to help manage appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment.

Women 18 or older who are currently undergoing cancer treatment, about to undergo cancer treatment, or have recently completed cancer treatment (chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, hormone therapy, or other forms of treatment) are eligible to attend.

Garnet Health welcomed the holiday season by expressing its gratitude for employees systemwide with holiday themed luncheons at the Callicoon, Harris and Middletown Campuses! 🎄🍽🙌

Hosted by the incredible Food and Nutrition Services team, staff were served warm, holiday favorites, an array of tasty treats, and even received a visit from Santa! 🎅

A huge thank you to all who wore their ugly Christmas sweaters, decorated their workspaces, and spread holiday cheer to all!

Recently, Bedside Harpist Nina Rubin and Accompanist Pam Reiss kicked off the Holiday season with a performance in the Spagnoli Family Cancer Center at Garnet Health Medical Center lobby.

Known as the “Penina Duo,” these two musicians spread joy year-round by showcasing their love of music, performing classical and contemporary pieces for local audiences.

You can spot them periodically performing in one of the lobby areas at Garnet Health Medical Center throughout the year.

Garnet Health Doctors is excited to welcome its new Part-Time Trauma Surgeon, John Bliton, MD!

Dr. Bliton is a board-certified general surgeon with fellowship training in surgical critical care. He brings extensive expertise in trauma and acute care surgery, having served at multiple Level I and Level II trauma centers.

Dr. Bliton will provide inpatient trauma coverage for Garnet Health Medical Center and will not be holding office hours at this time.

Participants will learn how to recognize an overdose, administer Narcan, and use harm reduction techniques. Attendees will leave with a dose of Narcan.
