We survived the storm. Our office ran off cellphones for a couple days, but we were able to have power and internet back this morning so we are up and running!

Pre-Irene PSA....If you must contact people during the storm please TEXT and NOT call...Texting puts less of a load on the cellular network.

Otherwise use a LAN line. Please check on your loved ones who can't get out and make sure they have non-perishable items, water for drinking, a flashlight or two with good batteries and that their yards are clear of any thing that could become a projectile.
