MHAOC is proud to recognize our staff honored at the 2025 Joint Membership of Health & Community Agencies (JMHCA) Distinguished Service Awards. Each year, these awards celebrate outstanding direct care professionals and leaders across Orange County.

This year, we proudly celebrate:
• Karlynn Rivera – Children’s Services
• Jasmine Ocasio – Mental Health Services
• JoAnna Brown – Mental Health Services
• Amanda Malgieri – Middle Management Services with Caseload

Their commitment to excellence, compassion, and client-centered care reflects the very best of MHAOC’s mission.

We also honor a significant leadership transition within JMHCA. After decades of dedicated service, Nolly Climes, retired from RSS, has passed the JMHCA presidency to Michele McKeon, Chief Operating Officer of RECAP Nolly’s leadership has shaped the collaborative spirit of this network for many years, and we thank him deeply for his service. Congratulations to Michele as she steps into this important role.

Congratulations to all this year’s honorees — and thank you for everything you bring to our community.

Our ASSIST families spent time grounding, stretching, and reconnecting during a peaceful yoga session at Happy Buddha Yoga . The warm, calming studio created space for parents and children to move together, build confidence, and practice mindfulness in a supportive environment.

These wellness moments matter — they help families breathe deeper, slow down, and strengthen the connections that carry them through everyday challenges.

Thank you to Happy Buddha Yoga for welcoming our program with such care. 💛🧘♂️

There’s something meaningful about sharing a meal with people who understand you.
Our Blue Renaissance members celebrated Friendsgiving together with dishes, conversation, and plenty of smiles.

Gatherings like this show how powerful connection and belonging can be. 🧡🍂

Our team at Mental Health Association in Orange County came together to deliver hundreds of holiday food baskets across the county — each one packed with care, gratitude, and the shared hope of making someone’s season a little brighter.

From loading vans to organizing massive amounts of bread and baked goods, staff and volunteers showed incredible teamwork and heart. These baskets support individuals and families who rely on us during the holidays, and none of this would be possible without the dedication of our amazing team.

Together, we share.
Together, we care.

If you’d like to support our next round of December holiday food baskets, donations are still being accepted. Every contribution helps us reach more households in need.
