🦷WHAT IS A CROWN ?
A dental crown is a custom-made cap that covers a damaged, weakened, or misshapen tooth to restore its strength, function, and appearance. It fully encases the visible portion of the tooth above the gum line, protecting it from further damage while allowing it to function normally for biting and chewing. Dental crowns are commonly used after large fillings, root canal treatment, or to repair cracked or severely worn teeth.

🦷 SAME DAY CROWN PROCEDURE:

A same-day dental crown procedure typically begins with the dentist examining the tooth and preparing it by removing any decay and shaping it to properly support the crown. Instead of taking traditional impressions, the dentist uses a digital scanner to create a precise 3D image of the tooth. This digital model is then used to design the crown, which is fabricated on-site using advanced milling technology, usually from ceramic material. While the crown is being made, the patient can relax in the office, eliminating the need for a temporary crown. Once the custom crown is ready, the dentist checks its fit, color, and bite, makes any necessary adjustments, and permanently bonds it to the tooth, restoring function and appearance in a single visit.

Hard candies are a holiday favorite 🍬🍭

These candies are yummy however, they take a long time to dissolve in your mouth which allows for bacteria to have more access to sugar. Sugar will fuel the bacteria living on your teeth and over time these bacterias turn to acids which break down your teeth.

Hard candies are also HARD. Biting down on them can cause chips or breaks even in the strongest of teeth! Try going for a softer candy this holiday 🍫

It is important to stick to your daily hygiene routine especially with the influx in tasty treats during your holiday adventures!! Brush, floss, and rinse 2x a day for 2 minutes 🪥
