Join JFS Orange and Momma B’s for a Cookie Decorating Fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 23rd! 🍪

This fundraiser will support older adults in Orange County to provide access to transportation for their medical appointments.

Attendance is $35 per person and will include pre-baked cookies, icing, and tools, and you can take home your creations. Snacks and beverages will be provided! ☕️🍪

Roots Week 7!

This week, our Roots group explored Tu BiShvat, the Jewish holiday that celebrates trees and the gifts of nature — a truly underrated celebration! Participants decorated their own vases, created beautiful flowers, and wrapped up the lesson with a viewing of The Lorax, a perfect reminder of why we care for the earth 🌳🌲

Orange Bank & Trust Company proudly presented a $2,500 grant to Jfs Orange. Made through a partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, this grant will help JFS continue to empower all people to live with dignity, hope and strength.

Roots Week 5!

Last week, we learned about some of the recent Jewish holidays, including Yom Kippur, Simchat Torah, and Sukkot. Our participants created their own Torah scrolls and reflected on what they hope to improve in the new Jewish year.

A great morning spent networking with some of the incredible women we have the privilege of working with in Orange County!

This morning, some of our JFS staff went to a Roundtable: Discussion about Women, the Workplace, and Wellbeing with the Orange County Human Rights Commission and Global Women 4 Wellbeing. This roundtable centered the women in the room rather than on keynote speakers, emphasizing the importance of everyone’s own experiences and individuality that helps create and reform the spaces we work in.

Thank you to Inaudy Gil, the OC Human Rights Commission Executive Director, and Mim Senft, Co-Founder and CEO of GW4W for hosting such a fantastic roundtable discussion!

JFS Executive Director Nickie Ronsini (left) and Case Manager Carmen Thomas (right) attended the ARC of the Greater Hudson Valley’s 2025 National Disability Employment Awareness Month Recognition Breakfast at The Powelton Club in Newburgh this morning!

This breakfast honored individuals from the Regional Food Bank, Price Chopper, and Healthy Kids for their work in empowering individuals with disabilities and creating career and employment opportunities in our local communities 🍂🍁

Congratulations to all the winners and our biggest thanks to ARC of Greater Hudson Valley for all that you continue to do in our communities!
