Join JFS, the YMCA .middletown, and GMIC for this year’s Thanksgiving Celebration!

This celebration will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 58 North Street Middletown, NY 10940. Doors open at 6:30!

We will be collecting non-perishable foods for local pantries, so please bring what you can if you are willing and able 😊

JFS Orange is happy to be co-sponsoring a Memory Cafe hosted by Melinda Burgard, an experienced, award-winning Music Therapist and NYS Licensed Creative Arts Therapist!

On November 21st from 2:00-3:30pm, enjoy a warm, supportive, enjoyable experience designed especially for individuals living with dementia and their care partners, where all participants connect through engaging activities, music, and friendship.

Coffee, tea, and cookies will be provided.

Join JFS Orange and Momma B’s for a Cookie Decorating Fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 23rd! 🍪

This fundraiser will support older adults in Orange County to provide access to transportation for their medical appointments.

Attendance is $35 per person and will include pre-baked cookies, icing, and tools, and you can take home your creations. Snacks and beverages will be provided! ☕️🍪

Roots Week 7!

This week, our Roots group explored Tu BiShvat, the Jewish holiday that celebrates trees and the gifts of nature — a truly underrated celebration! Participants decorated their own vases, created beautiful flowers, and wrapped up the lesson with a viewing of The Lorax, a perfect reminder of why we care for the earth 🌳🌲

Orange Bank & Trust Company proudly presented a $2,500 grant to Jfs Orange. Made through a partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, this grant will help JFS continue to empower all people to live with dignity, hope and strength.

Roots Week 5!

Last week, we learned about some of the recent Jewish holidays, including Yom Kippur, Simchat Torah, and Sukkot. Our participants created their own Torah scrolls and reflected on what they hope to improve in the new Jewish year.
