We’re entering a new era: our 2026-2029 Strategic Plan… and we need your help to shape the next three years!

❓ What is a strategic plan, and why is it important? ❓

A strategic plan helps set priorities and direction for our organization. It outlines our goals, identifies opportunities for growth, and ensures that our programs, services, and resources align with our mission of supporting families, promoting community involvement, and encouraging a lifetime of opportunities for people with Down syndrome.

This plan will guide decisions about programming, advocacy, partnerships, and resources over the next three years — and your voice is an important part of shaping it.

📣 How can you get involved? 📣

We are hosting three virtual focus groups during the first week of March to discuss your thoughts, feedback, and ideas. Can’t make it to a focus group? Feel free to share your input via our Strategic Planning Survey.

The warmest welcome to our community = these beautiful blankets lovingly made by adults with Down syndrome 💌 When new parents and little ones with Down syndrome join our association, we send them a welcome basket that includes one of these blankets! These self-advocates get together for blanket-making sessions, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their hard work. 💙

Today, our team shared DSADE resources and connected with attendees and community organizations at the LIFE Conference in Dover! The LIFE Conference brings together families, self-advocates, and community partners to learn about disability supports and to network with other attendees.

Lauren Camp Gates, DSADE executive director, snapped a photo with self-advocate Lauren Devard. Jess, Sandra, and Susan from the DSADE team also attended — and we were so glad to see many familiar families and community partners, as well as to spark some new connections!
