Meet Eric — our newest Handspring Hero 🦾

As one of the few above-elbow amputees to undergo osseointegration, Eric is embracing what’s possible with cutting-edge prosthetic technology. With this newfound capability, Eric is pursuing an exciting new path as a tattoo artist.

This innovative procedure uses a titanium implant anchored directly to the bone, allowing for greater range of motion, improved control, and enhanced sensory feedback.

We loved spending our Valentine’s Day with Tammie!

She is rocking her new cover for her hand customized to fit her style!!

While getting this upgrade she also spent time with our clinical team learning and testing Esper’s latest developments.

As he recieves his first prosthesis! He is excited get back to his hobbies- especially working on his cars

Royan is wearing a partial hand prosthesis that utilizes Naked Prosthetics MCP driver in addition to Point Designs full digit. This combination allows for active control through flexion of his residual digits with high strength and rugged durability!

If you aren’t aware, is advocating for much needed change in state legislation to ensure access for orthotic and prosthetic services!

Our very own, Dr. Debra Latour, is helping advocate for this movement in Massachusetts! Dr. Latour ensures the success of Handspring clients through her guidance in the application of prosthetic technologies. She recently met with lawmakers in Boston, MA, to advance the initiative.
Because movement isn’t a privilege, it’s a right. 🦾🦾

This grassroots movement is changing that, one state at a time, with a bold goal: coverage in 28 states by the 2028 LA Paralympics and beyond. Dr. Latour hopes that Massachusetts as one of the original 13 colonies will join the 12 states that have already enacted this bill as “Law”.

We just wrapped up an incredible week at the AOPA National Assembly in Orlando! 🌴🍊Handspring clinicians, Chris and Cassandra, presented new research and clinical findings on the impact of GLP-1 medications in the prosthetic community, helping shape the future of patient care.

A highlight of the conference was our very own Handspring Hero, Mitch, who shared his powerful story and experience as a prosthetic user. 🦾🦿His voice and perspective reminded us why innovation and person-centered care matter most.

We’re proud to be part of the conversations driving our field forward—and grateful to everyone who joined us in learning, connecting, and inspiring change. 💙

Meet Jamal, who had been coming to Handspring since he was just 6 years old for his prosthetic care! Over the years, we’ve watched him grow into a determined and spirited young man with the biggest smile that can light up any room. Now in middle school, Jamal is reaching new heights with his Esper myoelectric hand, helping him conquer his daily goals with ease and confidence.

When he’s not acing school projects, you can find him cracking jokes and goofing around with his twin brother—they’re quite the dynamic duo! We’re so proud to be part of Jamal’s journey and can’t wait to see all the amazing things he’ll achieve.
