We accomplish this by designing a plan that fits the clients' goals through individual, couple, family therapy, group therapy, and psycho-educational programs and training. We provide in office and telehealth sessions. Who We Are

Journey through Holy Week with us at Light the Way Counseling ✝️

This sacred week invites us to slow down, reflect, and walk closely with Jesus—from the hope of Palm Sunday to the sacrifice of Good Friday, and the promise of resurrection on Easter. Each step reminds us that even in suffering, there is purpose… and even in darkness, there is hope.

As we move through this week together, we invite you to spend time in Scripture, allowing God’s Word to meet you right where you are—whether you’re carrying grief, uncertainty, or longing for renewal.

Reflection Thought 💭
Where in your life do you need to trust that God is still working—even when the path feels heavy or unclear?

You don’t have to walk this journey alone. We’re here to support you—spiritually and emotionally—every step of the way. 💙

Palm Sunday is a powerful reminder that hope often arrives in quiet, humble ways.

As Jesus entered Jerusalem, He was welcomed with celebration—yet He also knew the road ahead would hold pain, sacrifice, and ultimately, redemption. It’s a moment that reflects something many of us experience in our own lives: holding both joy and struggle at the same time.

At a Christian counseling center, we often walk with individuals and families through seasons that feel uncertain, heavy, or overwhelming. Palm Sunday reminds us that:

🌿 God meets us in both the celebration and the struggle
🌿 Strength can look like humility and surrender
🌿 Even in difficult seasons, there is purpose and hope ahead

If you’re in a season where emotions feel mixed or heavy, you’re not alone. Faith and support can coexist—and healing often begins when we allow ourselves to be seen, heard, and guided.

This Holy Week, may you find moments of peace, reflection, and renewed hope. 💛

Is your child truly disciplined… or just afraid to mess up? 🤔

✔️ Signs your child may be acting out of fear of failure
✔️ The difference between healthy discipline vs. fear-based parenting
✔️ How to raise emotionally secure, confident kids
✔️ Practical tips for positive parenting and connection

If you’ve ever wondered whether your child is behaving… or just afraid to get it wrong, this is a must-read.

Parenting a teen can feel like walking a constant balance between connection and independence… privacy and protection—but you don’t have to choose one over the other.

💛 The truth is: your teen still needs you—just in a different way.

When teens feel seen, heard, and understood, they’re more likely to open up, make safer choices, and come to you when it matters most.

✨ Instead of pushing harder, try shifting your approach:

👉 Ask open-ended questions (not interrogations)
👉 Listen without jumping in to fix
👉 Respect their privacy (knock, don’t snoop—unless safety is a concern)
👉 Create clear boundaries together
👉 Focus on connection before correction

Because here’s the key:
Trust and communication—not control—are what keep teens safe.

Even small moments—car rides, quick check-ins, shared meals—can build powerful connection over time.

You don’t have to be a perfect parent.
Just a present one.

Did you know that every marriage has perpetual problems?

Not just some marriages. ALL marriages.

These are the differences that don’t just “go away” — they tend to show up again and again over time. And that’s not a sign your relationship is broken… it’s actually a sign your relationship is normal.

The goal isn’t to eliminate these challenges — it’s to learn how to understand, manage, and grow through them together.

✨ When couples shift from:
👉 “Why is this still happening?”
to
👉 “How can we handle this differently together?”

…everything begins to change.

Grief is one of the most universal human experiences — yet many of us feel unprepared when it happens.

Loss can bring waves of emotions: sadness, anger, confusion, numbness, and sometimes even relief. Many people wonder if they are grieving “the right way,” but the truth is that grief doesn’t follow a clear path or timeline.

Understanding what grief is and how people move through it can make this difficult process a little less overwhelming.

If you or someone you love is navigating loss, this blog offers insight into what grief looks like and how healing can begin.

Does your child sometimes seem like they just won’t listen?

It can be easy to assume kids are being stubborn, defiant, or unmotivated. But often the truth is something different: they can’t… at least not yet.

Many challenging behaviors happen when children are struggling with skills they’re still developing—like emotional regulation, frustration tolerance, flexibility, or problem-solving. When we shift our mindset from “won’t” to “can’t yet,” it helps us respond with understanding and support instead of frustration.

This perspective can completely change the way we approach difficult moments with our kids.
