🌼 Congratulations to our 2025 DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award Honoree, Dr. Brandi McDonald, DNP, RN, CMSRN, PCCN, NEA-BC! 🌼
Director of Clinical Operations & Critical Care Services at Midland Health, Dr. McDonald has dedicated 26 years to the nursing profession—leading with humility, courage, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

This year’s distinguished nominees — Nancy Hill, Dr. Cassandra McDorman, Nancy Ornelas, and Dr. Brandi McDonald — exemplify the heart of nursing and the extraordinary leadership found across Midland Health.

An excerpt from Dr. McDonald’s nomination said it best:
“In late 2018, Dr. McDonald accepted the responsibility of taking on a second division and stepped into the Critical Care Services Division, where she has thrived as a leader. Stepping into an inpatient unit presented a whole new set of challenges, but Brandi did not waver in this challenge.”

Her career is a testament to what compassionate, forward-thinking leadership looks like in West Texas.

We were honored to celebrate her during this year’s ceremony with a beautiful performance by Kendra Leonard, Director of Marketing & Public Relations at Community National Bank, and an inspiring keynote from Krista Escamilla—podcaster, entrepreneur, longtime broadcast journalist, and founder of RIG ID, home of the Permian Basin’s #1 community podcast for the Midland Reporter-Telegram, The Krista Escamilla Show.

To every nurse, leader, nominator, and supporter who makes the DAISY Program at Midland Health thrive—thank you. Your stories, participation, and dedication fuel this meaningful tradition.

This ceremony officially wraps up our 2025 DAISY Awards season, recognizing excellence across three annual categories:
✨ DAISY Team
✨ DAISY Nurse Leader
✨ DAISY Lifetime Achievement

📝 Be on the lookout for next year’s nomination opportunities—we can’t wait to celebrate more extraordinary nurses across Midland Health.
