Energy drinks can be appealing for teens, especially with busy schedules and sports — but they often contain high levels of caffeine and sugar that aren’t ideal for growing bodies.

If your teen is feeling tired, it’s usually a sign they need better sleep, hydration, or nutrition — not more stimulants.

Encouraging water as the main source of hydration and focusing on consistent meals and rest can help support more natural, steady energy levels.

Let them choose what and how much to eat.

Avoid making separate meals.
Offer a balanced plate and let your child decide what to eat from it. This builds independence and reduces mealtime stress.

Less pressure = better habits long term.

Chicken nuggets? Yogurt? Crackers?

Every parent has been there — the phase where your child will only eat one specific food and suddenly everything else is unacceptable 😅

Whether it’s chicken nuggets, yogurt, pasta, or something super random, these phases are incredibly common and usually temporary.

Drop your child’s current “only food” in the comments — let’s remind each other we’re all in this together.

Toddlers often reject foods (even favorites).

Toddlers do what we should all do; they eat when they are hungry and they don’t eat when they aren’t!

Keep offering a variety of foods, without pressure — it can take multiple exposures before acceptance.
It’s not you. It’s toddler life. 😅

Around 12 months of age, infants shift from formula or breast milk to whole milk and solids. Focus on balanced meals of whole fruits and vegetables, lean meats, whole grains and lots of water.

Whole milk should be limited to no more than 16 ounces in a 24 hour period (out of a sippy cup, no more bottles!)

Expect some mess — and a lot of learning.

Signs your baby is ready: sitting with support, good head control, and showing interest in food. Start simple with single ingredient options and go at your baby’s pace.

Breast milk or formula is still your infant’s primary source of nutrition! At this stage, food is only for fun and learning!

Messy is part of the process — and totally normal. 😄
