When I opened Flourish, I was ready to credential with insurance.

But I paused.

I wanted autonomy in how we treat children.
I wanted flexibility in frequency and structure.
I wanted to prioritize progress over billing patterns.

Over time, many families have shared something surprising:

Their weekly out-of-pocket cost was similar — sometimes even lower — than what they paid using insurance. We love what we do and we are thankful for the freedom we have to treat patients without restrictions!!

Soon after I opened Flourish, I had the insurance paperwork completed and ready to sign. I didn’t. Not because insurance is bad — but because I wanted the freedom to structure therapy around children, not billing rules.

Staying private pay was intentional — rooted in autonomy, quality of care, and outcomes.

Many families are surprised to learn the financial difference is often minimal.
